Dear People,
Recently a new client asked if there was something that could be done to improve results before his session. A lot of my work focuses on improve results during the session and after the session, so today, let's talk about how you can use every step in the process to improve your results.
Before the intake
Usually people will send me an e-mail or call me to ask me about my services. Having a clear idea of what problem you want solved or what your goal is for a session really helps. You don't need to know why you have a certain problem or how to solve it, but if you can clearly define your problem or goal, it's easier for me to use my gifts to see what's needed. If you have trouble doing so, we can usually define it during the intake, but taking a bit of time to do so yourself definitely speeds up the process.
During the intake
During the intake we discuss what you want and what I have noticed in your energy field and other information I got from my gifts. Often people feel understood or get new information from me that already gets the energy flowing. Some people get more frustrated, while others get more at peace knowing help is around the corner. I've had multiple people tell me that they started to get results after the intake already!
Being able to answer questions and openly discussing your wants and needs really helps us find out if we can work well together and what is needed for you and your next level of healing. Intakes can be painful because we only discuss what's going wrong in your life, so make sure you are gentle with yourself.
Between the intake and the preparation phase
Sometimes our discussions from the intake have sparked some more insight in what you want or you might notice a few days later that you've forgotten to tell me something. Definitely take the time to send me a message to let me know.
Often people don't want to bother me, but if you tell me new information or want more things at the start of your session, it's much harder for me to incorporate it in the session itself. If I receive information before I prepare your session, I can make the time to listen to guidance or check blockages for you. So just let me know at least 24 hours before your session.
During the session
There are some things you can do to have the healing energy in the session as focused as possible. Ask for breaks if you need to sit down, need a drink or need the bathroom. Being uncomfortable during a healing session is counter productive.
Try to keep an open mind during the healing and just tune in as much as possible into what you feel or notice without letting your own judgements stop you. Trying is what is important, so if I notice you ignore your own inner voice, I will of course guide you towards the best healing flow. Don't get stuck in your own head, but just allow the flow to carry you.
Most of the time, during the session, all you need to do is just allow the healing energy to do it's work and follow my instructions. Sometimes clients are only willing to 'do this step' because I'm asking and while that still gives results (as I have your permission), it's more helpful if you are willing to help yourself and open up to miracles. So if it's possible for you to set aside your rational mind and just trust, have faith or allow yourself to receive this will definitely give better results.
Rarely people aren't willing to take a healing step and decide to start a discussion with me on why it won't work. Or they decide to dig in their heels and just tell me that it's useless. This is very human, but of course not the most effective way of healing. Sometimes I have time to convince people to at least just give it a try, but sometimes I will also notice that you aren't ready yet to heal on that level and it should be shelved for another time.
Directly after the session
Really take some time to yourself. You might feel energized from the healing energy, but you want it focused on you and not spread out towards other people, other goals or other problems. If you feel tired from the process, taking a break or a nap will help the energy to work on what's needed instead of trying to help you stay energized.
Aftercare: first 6 weeks after your session
While I have aftercare at 3 and 6 weeks, if you notice sudden negative experiences or a lack of healing flow, it helps if I know that as soon as possible. I can then check what happened and if this is something unrelated (family member gets ill), unconscious sabotage (you are afraid of the new level) or if the healing went to a different direction. Definitely get in touch with me if you feel like you aren't get the expected results that we discussed in your intake and that are in the email I sent you before your session.
It's much easier to redirect the healing flow or boost it while it's still available. The less flow is available, the more work it is for me to get it back up to were it needs to be and it will of course take longer to get results. Sometimes the aftercare just shows that we need to be more patient, because the energy is still flowing fine. In that case, we can add in an extra aftercare after the 6 week point to keep in touch and see how things are after a bit more time has passed.
I'm always disappointed if my aftercare emails go unanswered and people get back to me after the aftercare window has passed saying that they didn't get the results they hoped for. Aftercare is there to give you the best results, to be able to give tweaks when needed or give you some homework to get your results. It's true that the bulk of the healing happens in the session, but if aftercare was unnecessary I wouldn't offer it.
While I sympathize with people who didn't respond to my aftercare requests, I do not offer additional free work after the aftercare window has closed. Getting a healing flow running again is difficult work and the more time has passed the harder it is. If during earlier contact within the aftercare window we agreed to prolong the aftercare, that if course means you will receive more help free of charge.
Have a question for me? Don't hesitate to leave a comment, ask me in the practice, through DM on Instagram or Facebook or e-mail me.
Dear people,
Hope is a choice is a wonderful healing concept. Often people feel that some people are naturally hopeful, while others are more 'realistic'. Some people feel hope is bad for us, because when our hope has been in vain, we feel betrayed or disappointed. Hope in many cases has gotten a bad rap I fear, so today I'm writing about why hope should be celebrated.
Difference between hopeful and naivety
When we are hopeful, we choose to focus on a good outcome. We choose to believe that a good outcome is possible for us. Hope itself isn't based on good rational arguments, it's based on faith in a higher power, in ourselves, in humanity etc.
Yet hope is not naive, so hoping a spouse that strayed will stay faithful, can be truly hopeful, if you are also acknowledging that it is based on faith. But if you believe a known liar, because you want to close your eyes for your own intuition or for the truth, it's not hope, it's naivety or denial.
So hope doesn't give up discernment. You can acknowledge that you hope your romantic relationship will survive, while being honest that there are challenges ahead. So often people say: 'I hope X', but what they mean is: "X must happen for me, despite all rhyme or reason", while a healing hope would be: "I hope for X, knowing I need a miracle/help/support/ etc.". In that case, you focus on what you can do or you choose to consciously release fears.
Why you should hope
When we are without hope, it's much much harder to make a change. Hopeless people will tell you that nothing they will do will ever matter. So they are not stopping their addictions, making healthier choices, trying for a new job etc. Hopelessness kills our drive for change, for without hope, nothing will matter. So meaninglessness is also very connected to despair.
It's not easy to hope sometimes, especially when we feel we have had so many negative outcomes before. After 20 job interviews, a divorce, rejected bids on a house, years of not being pregnant, it's though to find hope. However, hope makes our journey so much better and if we acknowledge the signals from our intuition that tell us to persevere we will receive the help we need.
When I'm helping others who still have hope or who are willing to find it, they have an easier time dealing with disappointments, dealing with upsets and pain, because they know a good outcome can be just around the corner. So the journey is much easier to bear. Of course hope is something that can be very fleeting, so it's definitely normal to lose it again sometimes or to have to consciously choose to let go of fears.
When you shouldn't hope (anymore)
Sometimes it's clear that there is no hope left and we need to accept that what is dying in our lives. It could be a dream, a job, a relationship or even our life. It's though sometimes to give up and surrender, understanding that this particular cycle has ended. If all signals are showing you to move on, to let go and to give up, then trying to wade against the current will only cause you more harm.
It's not easy to grief the end of hope, so definitely be gentle with yourself and others. It's easy to be angry that somebody is in denial, but it's very human to not want to see the truth sometimes. I've had people upset with me because in their eyes "I refuse to help", while others have been glad I'm not willing to let them pay for an unattainable outcome.
Hope exercise
If there is something you'd love to accomplish or a situation you feel hopeless about, this exercise will help you get back in tune with the Flow of Miracles. Try to find the place to sit quietly for around 15 minutes.
- Breathe in an out and release all frustration, tantrums and sabotage you have around this. Consciously let go on how you feel things should work and allow the work to be done through you. Place your hands on your body wherever it feels comfortable.
- Consciously release all fears around the situation. Acknowledge that this can be accomplished through you.
- Allow Higher Power to fill you with hope and listen to what you can do to help co-create. Acknowledge that you might hear that you are going in the wrong direction and if so, ask for the situation to be resolved through you.
- Breath in and out again and allow the wonder of hope to circulate through your (energy) body
If you still have trouble being filled with hope or are worried that you are focused on something that isn't right for you, don't hesitate to reach out. If you want to share your experiences with this exercise or your thoughts, leave a comment on this Blog, my Facebook Fan Page or contact me on Instagram.
The world can be a dark place sometimes filled with war, pain, loss and death. It's though to keep on finding the bright spots, the support, the help and the light. Even if the global situations isn't worrying you - there might be things you'd love to manifest in your own life but which seemingly aren't happening.
If you recognize that - it's time to affirm some hope back into your life. To remind yourself that often things work out just fine and that there is always love, support and light available to us. We just have to look for it. Don't let any fear mongering or negativity tell you that hope is naive, because it's not. It's simply a deep spiritual trust in ourselves and others.
Pick and choose what works for you and affirm away (I recommend three times a day if you can manage it).
Dear people,
Shadow work can be super though but it's one of the most rewarding healing work that you can do for yourself. Shadow work is all about confronting yourself with your deepest and darkest 'parts' that you won't accept, fears and desires. Our shadow belongs to us, but we put everything we won't face in there. Consciously making the choice to face up to it brings big wounds to the surface to be healed. So let's talk about shadow work today.
Why I recommend Shadow Work
Imagine that you are an ice berg, with some of your energy above the water in your conscious mind and some below in your Shadow. If you have only little energy in your Shadow, you'd rise up, but if you have a lot of energy in your Shadow, you droop down. Everything that's in your conscious mind can be used - talents, skills etc. while everything in your Shadow can't.
When Shadow work is effective, you will notice an increase in life energy - feeling more vibrant, more alive and more energetic. You will find more acceptance and mildness for yourself and for others. Sources of anger and annoyances have disappeared. You are more able to connect with your body, your talents and your power. You feel more satisfied with yourself and your life and are generally happier.
So it's very clear why I recommend doing Shadow work and why I offer it in my practice.
Doing shadow work alone or with a healer
There are of course many reasons to do Shadow work alone: it's free, it's private and you can do as much as as little as you want. The downside is that nobody is calling you out on your own lies. So if you just skim the surface of your Shadow or won't really go to the nitty gritty of uncomfortable feelings, you won't get much out of your own Shadow Work.
I highly recommend checking how effective your work is and then deciding
if you want to continue alone or not. If you notice yourself wanting to
do this work, but never creating time for it, definitely get somebody in
your corner to help you through it.
Ways of doing Shadow Work
There are many ways to do Shadow Work. I will cover a few ways with solutions on how to tackle that energy, so pick what you think will give you the best results.
- Focus on what makes you angry/what you can't accept in others. Check out how often you do this same behavior and heal and forgive yourself. Once the acceptance is complete - you will notice your anger is gone
- Focus on what parts of yourself you hate - what won't you allow yourself to feel or do or what body parts do you hate? Spend some time releasing judgement and returning yourself to innocence. See yourself as a wonderful Soul.
- Focus on what parts of yourself scare you - what power/talent are you unwilling to bring to light or use? Why are you scared/push that part of you away? Bring holy energy towards yourself to remind yourself that God/Spirit/The Universe has entrusted this with you for a reason.
- Open yourself up to listen to what you have repressed. Just allow it to be within you.
- Draw cards to see what you have within your Shadow and work with those to heal.
There are still so many more ways to do Shadow Work, but these are some of the simplest to do at home.
Shadow work blockages
Having to face and confront your fears, your demons, your hate, your littleness, these are all very difficult things to do. So it's perfectly normal to find yourself stumped. You might notice yourself rationalizing that you 'aren't like that', or 'had a good reason'. You might notice that you evade the work or lie because you say for example that there is absolutely nothing that you hate about yourself and others.
So if you have tried some of the small exercises I wrote above and you notice this, Shadow Work is absolutely for you, but you need to work first on wanting to see yourself clearly. For Shadow Work the truth is paramount, but so is love and kindness towards yourself. So definitely start dropping judgements about yourself if you can.
If you still have trouble, don't hesitate to reach out and we can work together to create a better integrated you. If you want to share your experiences with Shadow Work or your thoughts, leave a comment on this Blog, my Facebook Fan Page or contact me on Instagram.
Taking charge can be frightening so many people try to hide their leadership qualities. They don't want to take up a mantle of responsibility, but not using this talent can cause for a lot of troubles. We might get stuck into Power Struggles with other figures of authority, we might stay stuck in Littleness and we definitely won't be happy.
So no matter how often you have taken up the mantle of Leadership or how stuck you are in roles that don't suit you, it's time to heal and find your natural Leadership.
I embrace my Leadership energy
Dear people,
In a perfect world everybody would be completely bonded with their birth families and stay consciously connected to each other. It would mean that we are all loved, treasured and cherished. Spiritual people know we are all connected and bonded, but living that truth is a lot more difficult. That starts with bonding with our children which has become increasingly more difficult in the last decades. Parents are often extremely busy and then shamed and it's though to get the help you need if you notice a healthy bond isn't forming. So today I'm writing about some bonding stories I've helped with and give some tips.
Bonding with our children - during pregnancy
It's very very human to have difficulties bonding with our children during pregnancy for parents. The parent not carrying the baby can feel extremely shut out of the whole process. There isn't much to see, do or touch and if the pregnancy is difficult, it's though to stay connected to your partner, let alone the baby.
I've also seen the parent who is carrying the baby have bonding problems. There can be many reasons why there is a fear to bond - sometimes it's due to not believing a baby is really coming (due to IUI/IVF, fertility issues or anxiety), miscarriages in the past or sometimes when a pregnancy is a surprise (late in finding out/not planned).
The most important thing I tell my clients is to give themselves some grace and kindness. A lot of them feel enormous guilt in not bonding or doing the things that they think they should be doing or even should have done. Sometimes people still feel this lack of bonding years after their children are born and carrying this into their now and future. I use my True Unity technique to release those feelings and to reestablish the bond in the past. During that process they often access memories that they forgotten they had like talking to the belly or baby and realize that they have done some bonding.
I still remember the relief on the clients face who had suffered multiple miscarriages and told me she felt so guilty for not being 'on cloud 9' now that she was pregnant again. I told her that it was absolutely ok to experience the pregnancy in the way she was. That she might get that feeling after she passed certain milestones (12 weeks, 20 weeks, 24 weeks), but that if she didn't, that was perfectly ok. She was human and accepting her journey was what was best for her and her baby.
Bonding with our children - birth journey
While it would be absolutely lovely if everybody's birth journey would be effortless and wonderful, the harsh reality is that they aren't. They can be traumatic, painful, upsetting or even end in death. It's though to connect with the truth of that, but that means that often people experience shaming and can't express themselves to friends and families. If you don't say: "It was all worth it", there must be something wrong with you is the recurring thought.
Birth can absolutely be scary and becoming disassociated from your body or the process is just a way to feel safer or try to disconnect from a possible loss. That also means that even though the baby is the star of the show, the bonding can't take place. In some cases the aftermath is that bad that common traditions or after care can't take place and risks of postnatal depression rise.
You can't go back in time, but you can reclaim this bonding. I did this with one of my clients who had a traumatic birth and health issues for days after. We had a lot of healing to do, especially around the pain and fear she suffered. However, something that many people would consider minor, was painful for her. She expressed how sad she was that she didn't get the customary Dutch birth celebration of treat of Beschuit met Muisjes (a biscuit with butter and a type of sweet topping). We accepted that we can't right the past, but how about creating it in the future? She was really happy with the idea of celebrating with this treat and creating the bonding experience at home of celebrating the birth, even though it was years after the fact. After all it wasn't about the treat, but about the fact she never had the joyous occasion of celebrating her birth.
Bonding with our children - when they trigger us
It's super though to bond with your child when they drive you insane. They push your buttons or they are going through the exact same pain you went through and you feel devastated that the pattern continues. You also might notice you are acting in exactly the same way as your parents, the kind of behavior you swore you'd never do. It's though to stay in a mindset of love and bonding, while you truly would like to be as far away as possible.
If you don't heal the wound in yourself, you can't bond with your child at some level. Your pain will become their pain and it will pass onto a new generation. A lot of people feel intense guilt at that idea and that makes it even harder to deal with the truth of the situation. It's normal to want to shy away from something so painful, but if you want to heal you need to confront it.
I had a grandparent visit me for healing, because he was devastated that he was acting just like his father. He'd missed most of the earlier years of his children, due to work, but now, being retired, he'd want to play and be present and bond with his grandchildren. He noticed how he was often yelling at them, correcting them in play due to perfectionism and frankly was disgusted with himself. We worked through the support he himself had missed as a child, reconnected him with his own inner child, so he could be the grandfather he wanted to be. He was happy to report increased patience, joy and bonding with his grandchildren and due to that, also his children.
What do I recommend in restoring bonding
There are many things you can do, first of which would be to have a session of course, but you can also do a True Unity Healing Video at home or listen to one of my Manifestation Meditations.
You can also restore bonding by recovering pieces of lost bonding from your past, connecting with your own inner child or to meet your children where they are at. For bonding, all we need is love, time, effort and energy. As human beings, we have all of that. I highly recommend you spend time with your children in ways that make them feel connected to you and you feel connected to them.
If you want to share a bonding activity or your thoughts, leave a comment on this Blog, my Facebook Fan Page or contact me on Instagram.
Dear People,
I already wrote a little bit about my work with animals in 2012 here, but since it's World Animal Day, I thought I'd expand that answer a little bit. We all love our pets and it's very difficult to see them suffer, be in pain or feeling like we are failing to understand why they behave like they do. So let me answer some common questions about healing animals.
What does a session look like when it's for animal instead of a person?
Since pets can't talk, I can of course not hold an intake with them. I will talk to the owner about what type of problem they have seen or what they have heard from their vet. The preparation work is the same for a human or for a pet. I look at the energy field, listen for guidance and tune into any type of messages.
In the session itself, I can't ask the pet to take the steps during my True Unity technique. Sometimes the owner takes the steps for the animal and sometimes I tune in to see when the energy shift is done. I can tune in when the pet is in my practice, but also if the pet is just at the owners home. I often ask owners to schedule a healing time when pets are resting or relaxed so the energy can flow as easily as possible.
For after care, I of course talk with the owner on what changes they have noticed (in behavior or in health) and if I notice the healing energy isn't flowing like I'd want to see it (at the 3 week mark) or the results aren't like we expected, I will boost it, the same as I would do for a human client.
Why would people ask for a healing session for their pet?
Behavior issues in pets can be very hard to treat. Some owners have done a lot of training, but still notice fear responses or anger responses in their pets. Healing is especially good for pets who have been abused in previous homes and continue to feel unsafe in current loving homes. I've had great success in healing trauma in humans and in animals, but while a human can talk and process changes, a pet can't. As a result of my healing pets have become more relaxed, less vocal and more playful within days of a session.
Owners also sometimes have a hard time understanding behavior in their pets. Why does their dog suddenly bark a lot or why is the cat so stressed that it's peeing in the house? Finding out exactly what's going on and treating that is a lot more helpful then general treatment for anxiety with pills or other medical interventions. It's a pity animals can't speak to us, but tuning into their energy I often get a lot of emotional impressions and guidance as to what's bothering them. While the answer can be as simple as changing a jacket that scares them, changing their food or walking times, finding that out by process of elimination is a lot harder. That's why a session can be so helpful.
And of course, just like with humans, there can be issues that regular medical care can't treat (effectively), Healing work can reduce pain when pets are allergic to pain medications or when they react badly to them by being extremely drowsy. It can also speed up healing when the body of the pet is having a hard time on it's own. Of course, healing sessions have their limits as well, so sometimes there isn't anything I can do for a pet and it's owner.
If you are wondering if I can help your pet, just ask me for a free intake. If you have another question for me send me an email or talk to me through the socials by leave a comment on my Blog, Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.
Dear people,
September is almost over and a lot of people are back to work and study, so time for a blog post on how to remember your lessons. Even if you aren't studying, remember your life sessions is a vital way to move forward wiser and better prepared. Nothing is more annoying then making the same mistake again. In Dutch we have a saying about a donkey and a stone, but in English the saying is: "a fox is not taken twice in the same snare." So let's talk about remembering your lessons!
Connect your lessons to a memory
If it's a life lesson, you would probably remember when you learnt it. The people you were with or the situation you were in. If you keep this memory alive, you will keep the lesson alive as well. You can return to it several times and making it a core memory.
When you are studying something, you will only have memories of you in the classroom or you studying from a book. Even so, you might connect your lessons you are learning to a memory in your life. For example: if you are studying history about wars, you might have similar conflicts in your life. Even if the situation is not 100% similar, it will help you remember.
Create a story
Don't have a good memory to connect to? You can also make a story. Stories are wonderful mnemonic devices, which is why they have been used all through the ages. Before writing things down, oral history or story telling, was the absolute best way to remember what had happened.
So if you are trying to keep something alive in your brain, create a story about it. Even if you have really boring mathematical formula or grammatical rules, creating a story about it is worthwhile. Sometimes people have done it already, so if you google you might find them premade, but doing the work yourself helps even more. A personal story sticks better in your memory.
I often create stories for my life lessons, not only because it helps me remember, but also because it helps me teach. Teaching stories are a time honored tradition because it's easier to remember them and to apply their lessons. You might have made some already without even realizing it or have passed down teaching stories from your parents.
Crafting a good story is wonderful and I highly recommend it. One of my favorite
Write it down
In today's world of computers it can be hard to write things down, but actually using a pen or pencil does help your brain remember better. That's why I still carry a paper planner as well as having a bullet journal. Writing things down is a great help in remembering things even if you throw away the paper later. An easy way to notice that is when you write a shopping list, even if if you forget it at home, you remember more of what you needed then if you didn't do it.
I personally don't like that paper isn't searchable, so often, I also digitize things for myself. I still notice that I retain more when I write it down first though. So all my prep work for clients always start as paper notes.
Want to share your favorite ways of remembering lessons? I'd love to hear from you in the comments, or you can email me or send me a message on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.
We all can use some passion, some zest and enthusiasm in our lives. Passion helps us to prioritize what matters to us, gives us heaps of energy and allows us to be vibrantly alive. For some people passion runs fast and furious, while other people need more to start feeling their passion.
Regardless on where you are at in your passion journey, passion always helps smooth the way. So that's why today I'm writing affirmations on passion. Allow yourself to enjoy the ride that is your life.
Pick and choose what works for you and affirm away (I recommend three times a day if you can manage it).

Dear people,
I've already wrote about grounding and cleansing, both very basic but important healing tools when you feel something is amiss in your energy flow, energy body or life. Grounding helps you stay connected to your body and the now and doing it regularly helps you stay vibrant and alive. Cleansing helps release old energy and outside influences, so doing that regularly means that you can easily process what happens to you. Another very important tool is centering, which is the art of being fully within yourself.
When do you need centering?
We all have things that can knock us off center: negative things like loss, trauma or burnout, but positive emotional events like promotion, weddings, pregnancy also count. Sometimes our lives change drastically and we feel like we don't know who we are anymore. This is when we desperately need centering. When we are off center we often feel increased stress, despair or anxious feelings and can create negative outcomes due to bad decision making. A decision based on fear, even when getting great results, always feels off.
Rarely, we can drift off center, due to being very busy with others or having very little free time. Bit by bit we forget who we are, lose hobbies, our values and of course connection with ourselves. Sometimes people find this out after the end of relationship or during a holiday when they finally have time to reflect. This kind of drift can have serious negative consequences, because once we are centered again, a lot of our life will feel like it no longer fits.
If you don't center yourself, you could experience illness to help you recenter, because once we can't be busy with our day to day and are stuck in bed, we have to spend the time to rest and reflect.
I recommend you regularly center yourself to make sure you aren't experiencing drift and are able to deal with the up and downs of life. I usually center every week, unless there are massive changes or I'm in a very emotional situation, in which case I will do it more often.
How do you center yourself?
There are many different ways in which we can center ourselves. Some are personal, they remind you of your own center, while others are common tips that help you find space, time and reflection. Depending on what knocked you out of your center, some centering tools are more appropriate then others.
To give you a good idea on what can help, I've split different centering tools based on what caused the situation of being off center, but for the best results, just check what calls out to you. Often, we are subconsciously looking to center ourselves.
Centering tools after drifting
If you are off center due to drift, so you feel like your life doesn't fit, feel unfilled or struggle with meaninglessness, here are some good tools:
- Any type of self reflection (journaling, talking with friends, Dream work etc.)
- Any type of planning for goals/hopes (setting a schedule, making appointments etc.)
- Any type of self knowledge work (meditation, Dream work, Guidance from Guides etc.)
- Do the Interview Yourself-exercise
- Do the Taking Charge of Changes - exercise
- Use the True Unity videos on my YouTube channel like for example Releasing despair, Meaninglessness or Breaking Free from a Rut.
Centering tools after drastic changes
If you feel off center due to drastic changes in your life, it matters of course if those are positive or negative, but most tools that help release or process emotions will help regardless of what those emotions are. So here are some good tools after drastic changes:
- Any type of emotional expression (writing a letter, talking with friends, creative pursuits etc.)
- Any type of emotional processing (EFT, cleansing in combination with other exercises etc.)
- Anything that increases Positive Flow (Affirmations, Creating Joy Videos etc.)
- Reconnecting with your body (exercise, yoga, hand on stomach/heart)
- Reconnecting with a positive habit/ritual
- Taking the time to rest
- Taking the time to reflect (see tools above)
Personal centering tools
Depending on who you are and what you need, you might find yourself centered in different ways. Sometimes I ask people to imagine what their place of Power looks like, their own Inner Strength. For some people it's a mountain, while others see a meadow or an object or color. Often, those are places or activities, that help us center. While it's not always possible to go to the mountains or do an activity, you can watch movies, look at photos or bring an object to get in touch with that energy.
For some people being alone might help you center, because you are away from people and can focus on yourself. While other people feel centered around friends, family or loved ones, because those people remind them who they are and surround them with love.
Spending some time to get to know your own centering activities/places or objects is really useful. I highly recommend finding and creating your own centering rituals or tools.
Do you want to share your experiences with centering? You can email me, post a comment on the blog or send me a message on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.

Dear people,
A lot of people work with (guardian) Angels and with Guides, but you can also work with Animal Totems. While most people who are attracted to Animal Totems practice some form of Shamanism or are connected to Native Tribes, not all people would consider themselves part of that tradition. Some just feel connected to nature or natural energy, find a totem while meditating or keep feeling attracted to Animal Totems. So let's talk today about what they are.
Animal Totem vs Animal
While an animal can guide and give wisdom, because who hasn't been taught a lesson by their pet or even just a wild animal, Animal Totems are different. Energetically speaking, you can connect to their energy and really feel a wise and different energy greet you. Animal Totems are beyond the animal itself, as they contain wisdom and intelligence, but also lessons mirrored with the actual animal.
Animal Totem vs other guiding energies
I think like calls to like, so if you are attracted to Animal Totems, I'd advise you to welcome their guidance. Compared to other guiding energies, I find Animal Totems to have more lessons that mirror nature: there is no good or bad, just different ways of being. All emotions are contained in nature, as she can bring peace, but also show anger. There is more understanding of natural cycles compared to other guiding energies.
While Guides or Ancestors might be focused on things more in the human world and Angels might bring more grace and protection, Animal Totems help you understand yourself and your place in the world. If you want to read more about different guiding energies, check out this blog post.
Connecting to Animal Totems
There are many ways to connect to Animal Totems. You can draw cards (Animal Card Oracles), meditate, connect to the animal and through them to the Animal Totem or even do any type of shamanic ritual or exercise like soul journey's or visiting different planes.
The easiest is to connect through the animal. If you keep seeing a certain animal (in the flesh or in images, movies or in other ways) welcome them into your life. Ask that you might understand what it is that they are telling you can simply listen or watch the animal. Googling on the name of an Animal Totem will also bring you common lessons and information.
Deeper work with Animal Totems
If you want to you can work deeper with Animal Totems by connecting with them daily, inviting them into your life and listening to their advice. Every single encounter will help you build a stronger connection and allow you to connect with more ease. You can choose to ask for advice for your life, but also for help with a certain project or goal.
Do you want to share your experiences with Animal Totems? You can email me, post a comment on the blog or send me a
message on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.
Dear People,
Recently I got asked again if I could help find a missing item. It's not a service I offer, so it's not on the website, but since this sometimes come up and sadly, we all lose items, I decided to write about it today. I reckon we all lost things we care about for a little while or maybe even permanently and wouldn't it be nice to know where those items are?
How I find items most of the time
For me personally, if I can't find something, I first try to find things the usual way. I look around to see if I can find it. If that's unsuccessful I go through my memory and try to recreate the situation or the whole day to see where I would have put something. Often I find my keys dropped behind something or notice that I left them in a jacket pocket.
I once also found my husbands iPad by just going through the motions of how he thinks and behaves. It was in between the mattresses of our bed. He normally leaves it on the floor, but since he did some vacuum cleaning he decided to put it up. He was also going to change the sheets, so on top didn't make sense and he placed it in between. For him, me finding it, after he looked on his desks, in his bags and throughout the house was like magic. For me it made perfect sense.
Using my Psychic Gifts to find items for myself
So if I can't seem to find my item I usually try to use a pendulum. It can swing towards the item you are looking for and I can ask it yes/no questions to see where something is. However, it's very easy to influence your pendulum when you are anxious or upset, so using it to find items isn't always my forte.
I once lost my own pendulum after giving a Pendulum Workshop. So I then used my keys to try to find it. It kept saying it was in the hallway and specifically in my bag. I had looked everywhere in it (I thought) so I was so upset that I just couldn't find it. In the end I gave up on finding it and a sweet client gifted me with a new one later on.
A few months later I was using the exact same backpack and realized it had a small pocket in the front. A pocket I normally never use (as it's easily accessible for thieves). I opened that tiny pocket and found my pendulum! So yeah, my gifts had been telling me all along it was in that bag in the hallway, but I still hadn't found it!
Using my Psychic Gifts to find items for others
Once somebody asked the whole forum of Tarot Readers if they could help her find her camera. Everybody got different cards of course, because God will show you what you need to hear, in it's own voice for you. A lot of people hoped to see similarities in the answers, so that it would be easier to pinpoint the camera.
I don't remember what card I got exactly, but I told her I thought it was in her bathroom, seeing a shower and some other things and probably in a laundry basket if she had one. I could just see things on top of it, so it wasn't easily visible. It was definitely a super strange place for a camera to end up, especially because she feared it got lost either in her car or at another location. Imagine her surprise when she told me 1) I definitely described her bathroom and 2) she found it in between her clothing in her laundry basket!
The Tarot Readers felt I didn't exactly use the Tarot Card to find it though, especially as with my gifts it sounded more like remote viewing, finding something based on my impressions of somebodies home and not the keywords from cards. That's fair, because while I use the cards as a tool, my own gifts give more information then just the card.
A client once asked me if I could help her find a little box with jewelry that she had misplaced. She had looked everywhere but hadn't found it and was really desperate. It was lost for years and while she was always hoping it would turn up, she decided to ask if I could look for it. I used my gifts and got a few impressions that I sent to her. She was very happy to report that she found it based on my descriptions.
While I wish I only had success stories, I also have had impressions that weren't clear enough to solve the case, although the items were found afterwards. In hindsight it made sense based on my description, but in the moment it didn't give enough information to find it. I also noticed in some cases that items were really lost/outside the home and didn't get enough information to figure out where.
It's though to use my gifts to find items, especially since I often do it without ever setting foot in somebodies home. Since I can't guarantee a good success rate and it's very time intensive I chose not to offer any services like this professionally.
Do you have a funny story of finding items with your gifts or have a question you want to ask me for the blog? Don't hesitate to leave a comment, ask me in the practice, through DM on Instagram or Facebook or e-mail me.
Our souls long to fulfill our destinies - finding the right people, right time and right places for us. We are always supported and guided towards best outcomes for us. It's though sometimes, when what we want doesn't seem to appear in the time line we'd like or when we become fearful as we feel our destinies are too difficult.
That's why today I'm writing affirmations on embracing your destiny. It's so important to be in tune with our soul's journey, to really receive the blessings available to you from God/The Universe/Higher Power and to be able to live your best life.
Pick and choose what works for you and affirm away (I recommend three times a day if you can manage it).
Dear people,
There are many different cycles in our lives: the wake/sleep cycle of our bodies, a cycle of days, months or seasons (sun cycles), cycles of the moon, cycles in life (childhood, adult, elderly) and you can do a lot of healing work by respecting and working with the flow of these cycles. So today I'm writing about Cycle Work.
Important things first: Respect your Cycle
A lot of times people have trouble to respect where they are in their cycle. They are tired, so should move to a sleep or rest cycle, but instead they stay awake working late or choose to zone out behind the TV. It's a bad time for doing new things, but they still push forward with a project, getting overwhelmed with everything going on and the new things on top of the already heavy load.
Many people feel like they can bend life towards their needs, but that always causes much more trouble than it's worth. Going with the flow means a lot less effort, time and energy than going against it. Even so it's of course disappointing when your schedule you designed doesn't seem to work so you have to reschedule your plans. Allow yourself to feel those feelings and only then, change your schedule around to respect where you are in your cycle.
Second Step: Learn your personal Cycle
Some cycles make a lot of sense: sleep when it's dark, wake when it's light. But other cycles are very personal: you might feel optimal mental energy in the morning or in the evening. You might concentrate for 30 minutes or maybe for 60 or any time in between. You love doing 20 things at once or you just need to focus on one thing only to shine.
Finding out what your optimal times are, what work load works best for you or when you feel most at ease tackling something is extremely worthwhile. Do you prefer to tackle the worst task first or would you like to do some easy things and then move forward?
Try to experiment a bit with how you do things and when you do things to get to know yourself and your personal cycles. I always notice when I'm feeling better, as my natural wake up is at 6am and when I'm feeling under the weather and a 20 minute bicycle ride turns into 30-35. I noticed when I overworked myself, as I was often exhausted on Tuesdays, because I took on too much work on Monday's. Keep a journal so you can see patterns emerge for yourself or jot down some quick thoughts on your calendar or in your phone.
Third Step: Connect to the Universal Energy
All seasons and times have their own energy which I've written about before. Everybody feels the vibe to clean out things in Spring or relax more so they can recharge in the Summer. You can also tune into the energy of a specific month, so that's why the Month Energy Readings are also available on my YouTube Channel.
By connecting to the Universal Energy, you can move with the available flow of energy and create an easier time. When we do that, you might notice other people being more cooperative or more attracted to your offerings or services, you might notice how certain projects or tasks go faster and easier or even just feel more energetic at the end of the day.
Some cycles are all about doing, but others are about resting, brainstorming, transition, simmering or even waiting. Finding out what's going on is a wonderful way to work with the Universe/Higher Power/God.
Fourth Step: Work with the Cycle
Now that you have a clearer view of your own cycle and how it works for you, seen what Universal Energy is available and respect where you are at in your cycles. It's time to work with it. Just like you wouldn't do gardening work when it's raining, you shouldn't do certain things if you are too tired mentally or emotionally.
I prefer keeping a master list of things I want to accomplish and then keep checking in what works for me. I tend to split the list by responsibilities (home, business, personal, garden, social), but you can also split it by difficulty or by type of energy needed (physical, emotional, mental or spiritual). I draw a weekly card to remind me of what important energy is there for me, personally, and what to be mindful of.
Exercise to work with the Cycle
- Take around 5-10 minutes to write down all things you want to do, that are still on your plate, that you have been avoiding or that you find important. Just get it all out, so you know what should be happening in your life.
- Close your eyes and ask what part of the cycle your body is in. Is it well rested, does it need more food or drink or relaxation. Keep that in mind before moving forward. Connecting regularly with your body is great way to keep your energy high
- Close your eyes and ask what part of the cycle your heart is in. Do you need to clear out some old stuff, cheer yourself up, cheer yourself on or is your heart happy and fulfilled.
- Close your eyes and ask what the state of your head is. Are you ready to brainstorm, concentrate or work? Is there something eating your energy or you need to take it easy for a bit?
- Close your eyes and ask for general guidance on your cycle and what you should be doing.
- Now you have a clear view on what is going on and needed, so get to work!
Do you want to share some of your Cycle work? Or do you want to be more mindful of your own personal cycles, so you can live happier and work effective? You can email me, post a comment on the blog or send me a message on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.
Dear People,
A lot of people ask me about who is helping them in this life. It could be a Guide, Totem Animal, Guardian Angel or even a passed loved one. Often this is because they want to create a stronger connection and be able to work with them easily. So they ask who it is or for specific names. A few years ago I've written about my own Guides, but today I'm writing about answering questions about other people's Guides.
What type of helpers do you recognize?
There are many different entities, spiritual helpers or spiritual energy that people can work with. A small summary here might help you realize that you can try connecting to much more then you ever thought.
- Guides - usually souls that are willing to help others, could be a deceased loved one
- (Guardian) Angels - Angelic energy that can help with healing, guidance or protection
- Animal Totems - Energy and lessons from Animal Guides
- Faeries - Energy and lessons from Fae/Earth Guides
- Ancestors - Guidance from people in your own family tree
You can find more information in my other blogpost: Thoughts on Healing - Available Energy/Guidance
Can you give me the names of the Guides/Energy I'm working with?
I'm always very careful with giving out names. Not because I feel that people don't deserve it or that it's inherently wrong. However, I believe that when we are forging a connection, that finding out or receiving the name, helps that connection immensely. It's a special moment and it also helps us reconnect.
I have to admit I always name a lot of things in my life and I've heard that this is done a lot in Shamanic traditions. I haven't studied with a Shaman, but I have noticed a lot of past life flashbacks of Shamanic lives. A naming still feels like a claiming to me, so naming things for others doesn't sit that well with me.
I still sometimes do it, when somebody really want to know a name to get a better connection or wants a confirmation of the name they themselves have heard. So you can always feel free to ask this question.
Different ways connect to your guides
There are many different ways to connect to Guiding energy. You can do a (guided) meditation, take a moment of silence, do automatic writing, dream work or even ask for a sign. I've had people repeatedly find objects to signify it was Guide message or even get a name.
It's alright to try out a few different things to see what works for you. I did mostly dream work to connect with my Guides and even when I didn't specify a question, I would often dream of my Guides. For Totem Work I'd prefer meditative trance, sometimes with my own drum and for Angelic work I tend to meditate.
There is no right or wrong way to connect - just play around and see what comes easiest to you. Once you have a name however, it can be very helpful to just call on that name, a few times, until you start feeling the connection.
Have a question you want to ask me for the blog? Don't hesitate to ask me in the practice or e-mail me.
Dear people,
Sometimes making a change in your life can really feel tiresome and slow. You might feel like you don't have what it takes, sabotage yourself in other ways or just notice that everything feels like a slog. So today I talk about a wonderful antidote: the Celestial speed up. You can also watch the Joy of Celestial Speed up Video or try the Celestial Speedup Manifestation Meditation.
What is a Celestial Speed up
A Celestial Speed up is the idea that a Higher Power is able to smooth your path and help you through any type of problem or situation and will work with you to progress faster or solve a situation quickly. It doesn't matter what is going on, you can use the Celestial Speed up if you put your trust in it and are willing to surrender to a higher Power.
When should I use a Celestial Speed up?
If you notice that things are going much slower then they should or if you ready for a leap of faith, you can just ask. Nothing more is required to start a Celestial Speed up, the rest will all be done through you and with you. You can use a speed up at any time, but if you ask for one, but mindful that you do all the parts required to keep it going until you get the results you asked for.
Using a Celestial Speed up most likely means that you might be called to clear out old blockages, release or move forward. It's not only the fun and joy of quicker results, but also the understanding on what is needed to actually speed up and stay at that higher level of progress.
How do I use a Celestial Speed up?
Just ask! You can ask your idea of higher power, be it God, Heaven, the Universe, your Higher Mind to help you speed up your process. You can also ask guides or Angels to support your path if that fits you better.
Then, make sure you have the time and energy to deal with what the Celestial Speed up brings. For example: if you asked for more clients or progress in your business, make sure you can accommodate the calls/emails/tasks that it will bring. If you asked to speed up finding a romantic partner, make sure you can accommodate dates, calls or chats.
Besides being able to accommodate the results, also make sure you have the time and energy to deal with any blockages being brought up. If you want faster results, you also need to deal what was keeping you from those results in the first place. That means you might get more guidance in the form of dreams, inspiration, intuitive thoughts etc. all to show you where you need healing or what you can do to move forward. It's important that you act on that guidance as soon as possible.
You might also suddenly meet a lot of people who can help you on your path. These meetings are there for a reason, so pay attention and work with those people who you just know can help you move forward greatly. Don't hesitate to ask for what you want or need. You are being supported here, so take that support and run with it.
If you stay connected to your goal and the Celestial Speed up, you will notice improved results almost immediately. Don't forget to be grateful and thank your Higher Power, as reaffirming the energy is also a great way to keep the flow going.
Problems with Celestial Speed up
Staying in the Celestial Speed up requires honesty with yourself, healing, effort, time and energy. However, you asked for the Speed up for a reason, so it should be worth it to you. Still, sometimes we can feel like it's just too much and put on the breaks.
We get scared, we might feel we don't deserve to achieve our goal so easily ("we need to work for it") or any other type of self sabotaging thought patterns or behavior. If you notice yourself falling into that trap, be sure to ask to help lift you back in the Celestial Speed up. Focus on why you asked for it and get back to it.
Want help with a Speed up? You can email me, post a comment on the blog or send me a message on the Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram. I also love to hear your Celestial Speed up stories if you have given this technique a try!
We all long for Harmony in our lives. Harmony is the deep knowledge that everything has it's time and place, that everybody is working together or that there is room for different opinions and that deeper sense of joy. It's often not easy to find Harmony in our lives, in groups or even in our families.
If you want to manifest more Harmony, you can do so by listening and meditating along with me in the Harmony Meditation Manifestation or do these lovely affirmations.
Pick and choose what works for you and affirm away (I recommend three times a day if you can manage it).
Dear people,
Moon Energy is lovely and working with the Moon Phases can help you heal or manifest quicker. Today I'm writing some short thoughts on each of the phases and Moon Energy in general. If you love this topic, leave me a comment, so I can take some time to write more about it soon. You can see how happy Moon Energy makes me in the new Joy with Moon Phases Video which will be online this Friday.
Moon Energy in general
The Moon and it's energy has fascinated humans for centuries. Many cultures have had Moon Goddesses and discovered the influence of the moon on the tides of our beautiful oceans. Personally, for me, Moon Energy is silvery, quick to changes, very emotional, deep and mysterious.
I prefer to use Moon Energy on topics of intuition, feminine energy or feminine health concerns, transformation and change and emotions. However, you can use Moon Energy for all topics that suit you as long as you are in tune with what is going on.
Waxing/Waning
The Moon waxes and wanes according to it's cycle and keeping that in mind will help with what you are doing. If the Moon is waxing or growing, it can help you with what you want to gain or manifest in your life. The growth of the Moon can help improve the growth of your project or your health. If you want to grow more hair, have more energy or gain more wealth, the waxing moon will help you out.
If the Moon is waning, or reducing, it helps towards whatever you want to reduce in your life. It's the time to lose weight, remove addictive behavior, cleanse or detoxify and clean up your house. If any of your manifesting goals have to do with reduction, now is the time to manifest.
Names of the Moon phases
Some people use the 4 Moon Phases: New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon, Third Quarter/Last Quarter, but using 8 is more usual for spiritual purposes:
- New moon.
- Waxing Crescent.
- First quarter.
- Waxing Gibbous.
- Full moon.
- Waning Gibbous.
- Last (third) quarter moon.
- Waning Crescent
Each of those phases have specific energy and specific purposes to work with. I always keep a Moon phases schedule in my journal and if you want to work with the Moon phases I highly encourage you to do so as well. It helps to discover patterns of how you respond to Moon Energy. You might notice that you have a few sleepless nights around Full Moon or are sensitive to nightmares around New Moon.
Each of the Moon phases explained
New Moon
A great time for new beginnings and undertakings, the moon phase that helps to detoxify the most and allows us to start with small seeds of change. Hardest to work with if you never done any Moon Energy work, as this dark Moon is not always as easy to access for people. It can bring up subconscious pain and upset to cleanse towards a new cycle.
Waxing Crescent
First steps into growing, a good time to spend spiritual energy with area's of your life which are in need of some energy, but where you see some small results already. It's a good time for small ailments or small increments in health that you want to work on.
First quarter
The first leg has been finished towards the Full Moon. This is a great half way point in energy to help you assess where you are going with your goals. First Quarter Moon helps with projects that are underway or health issues which have been healing, but need some more time or more focus.
Waxing Gibbous
Almost Full Moon, the time for when you want to do manifestation or healing work, but need the time and space to be more gentle then the full Moon. If you are inexperienced with Moon Energy it's a great second phase to work with on any topic that needs 'more'. If you feel Full Moon is too heavy, you can also do path finding here if it's for topics about your future.
Full Moon
The most famous phase, excellent to start working with Moon Energy as it's so strong. Wonderful for manifestation and intuitive work. Path finding or subconscious knowledge. Allow the Full Moon to lead the way. Be mindful that emotions can be a little high at this time, so strong reactions can occur.
Waning Gibbous
Just past Full Moon, is a great time for the release of anything that you feel is "over the hill". Old partners, patterns or outdated thoughts and beliefs become easier to shake. Any type of recent emotional turmoil or upset is easier to smooth over. If you feel Full Moon is too heavy, you can also do path finding here if it's for topics from your past.
Last (third) quarter Moon
The halfway point towards the New Moon. A great area time to reflect on what you have been growing and if that's what you actually want. Last Quarter Moon is a great time for reflecting and getting to know yourself and your path.
Waning Crescent
The last steps before a New Moon, is an excellent time to tie any loose ends and to see what needs to be made ready for the new. Clean up in your life or administration goes smoother and it helps with grieving and letting go.

Dear people,
With the state of the world at the moment, a lot of people are
struggling with feelings of powerlessness, anxiety and anger. So I felt
it's time to write a post with an exercise on how to empower yourself in
situations like these. It's so important to not stay stuck in the
mindset that nothing you do matters, because that will lead to worse
outcomes for everybody. If you notice you keep worrying, you can also
read the worst case scenarios blog post to help you through those feelings.
I also did a True Unity Video for those of you who want to use True Unity on Powerlessness. Simply join in with the exercise to get yourself back into a centered and empowered place.
Why feeling powerless is a hard feeling to escape
I'm sure we've all seen our friends and family in a powerless space. They are unable to see any solutions, are dejected and don't seem to have the power, energy or decisiveness to make a change. It doesn't matter how often we give advice, how we reach out and try to help them, they won't transform until they process that feeling of powerlessness. As such, it's no surprise that when we are in that same space, we are also hard to help.
If you want to move forward, it's important to recognize that you are keeping yourself in a powerless space. Especially when saying things like: "There is nothing I can do", or "Nothing will help". Powerlessness is a trap state, where the state itself will reinforce the feeling, so you need to make a conscious effort to move out of it. Once you take the time and space to remember that you are not powerless, you can move forward.
Moving out of powerlessness
There are many ways to move out of powerlessness. We can ask for help, surrender to our higher power or find our own inner power. So you can read the blog post or do the True Unity exercise for the first two methods, but I will expand here about the last one.
Finding your inner power can be extremely hard when you are in a powerless place, because you need to either remind yourself of it or reconnect with it. A great way to do that is to help others, because it will remind you of your power. You can also trick yourself by giving yourself advice as your own best friend. It will help open up ideas and advice, even if you know you are just pretending. That's how powerful trying to help others truly is.
Exercise for finding your own inner power
- Find a place where you can sit still for around 5-10 minutes
- Close your eyes
- Breath in and out
- Visualize your own center of power as a flame
- Allow Heaven/God/The Universe to fan the flames until you see your own Inner Power as a big roaring fire
- Allow that fire to warm you and help you in your life
- Visualize three embers of that fire - they are full of energy but not hot
- Place one ember on your heart - for connection of your emotions to your power
- Place one ember on your third eye - for connection of your intuition to your power
- Place on ember on your head - for connection of your mind to your power
- Allow yourself to see the thread of fire between your inner power and those embers
- Breathe in and out and establish healthy connections to your power
- Whenever you feel ready - open your eyes
