Dear People,

I always do an intake to discuss which healing focus I would recommend. A focus is always positive: it's where we want to go and what energy we'd like to see. Sometimes it's very clear what the focus should be, but sometimes I offer multiple options. Today I want to talk about how I choose a healing focus and why I sometimes offer choices.

Broad vs narrow focus

There is no good or bad, but since a session has a healing limit, it's interesting to talk about what difference a healing focus can make. A lot of people think that the time limit is what defines how much can be healed, but the actual limits is how much my clients energy system can handle. So what does it mean to choose a broad or a narrow focus?

I will be using an example to highlight the benefits and drawbacks.

For example: a client comes to me for a physical problem. Underlying the problem where some old child hood patterns, so we could choose Inner Child as a focus, to heal those and expect physical relief, more energy, more creativity and passion and a bit of wonder. During the session, other Inner Child wounds might pop up, allowing for other area's of her life to also be healed. Since this focus is broader than only the problem, that means that were have a wider range of results.

We could also have chosen a focus based on the problem only, like for example "Healed Problem". We might have found other underlying causes if those existed besides the childhood patterns, but we wouldn't have had extra results. So in this case, the focus is more narrow, the results are more narrow, but, it's likelier we would clear the problem in one session if healing only the childhood problems wasn't enough to change the energy sufficiently.

The broader the focus is, the more likely it is you'd get additional benefits, but also the likelier it is that we can't heal deeply enough to solve the problem completely. Sometimes a problem is just tied to one thing only, but sometimes it's a web of different issues that all need to be healed.

Based on our intake, I tend to choose a focus that has a large chance (70% and up) to resolve the initial problem people asked me to help heal. That means it's rare for me to need a second session. Sometimes I do in case of additional resistance popping up, sometimes our session got too broad anyway during the healing (when painful things pop up I won't shy away from healing them, even if we didn't discuss it in the intake) and even more rarely sometimes the energy body of the client can't handle too much healing at once.

Let me define your focus

A lot of times people want to tell me what to heal, but we don't always know what's really the underlying cause or causes. I use my gifts to find out what they are. Sometimes they resonate a lot with people during the intake, sometimes they are surprised.

Surprises tend to come when the main issue is in a past life, family pattern or subconscious behavior. Sometimes that means people have already healed on the  mental or emotional levels and are stuck in deeper layers, sometimes it means that they just aren't aware of what also is influencing their behavior.

So don't worry if you don't know if you need a Healing or a Reading or if you don't know how to resolve things. That's my job. And why I schedule time to discuss things with you during an intake. I prepare all my intakes so I can listen to what's going on and notice how your energy field is behaving.

Why there is sometimes a choice

Problems can almost always be solved in different ways. I tend to choose the broadest focus that still has high likelihood to have additional benefits, but sometimes I can see two clear ways forward. For example, I had a client who was interested in building her own business.

One focus would be: flourishing <business name>, in which case the expected results would be more clients, more money and more joy. It would focus on blockage moving forward, choices to be made in the near future and how to navigate the business for the coming months.

However, this client was also a bit of a workaholic and there were some issues with balancing work load, making sure healthy boundaries were set and some other more personal issues. So the other focus could be: balance. In which case, the expected results would be: better work/life balance, better health and more joy. It would focus mainly on personal growth and how to be the best business owner to yourself and your clients. This would in turn, also lead to more clients and more money, but slower compared to the first path.

Neither focus would be wrong, but the expected results would differ, due to where we'd put the emphasis on healing. Would it be based on growing the business or growing yourself. Would be it based on success or based on balance. It's up to the client what is the right path forward, but often, the second choice comes back around one way or another. If Flourishing is the focus, balance will become a topic after a while, because nothing can grow without limits. If Balance is the focus, then flourishing will ultimately follow.

I will write more in a new blog post on how intakes work and why I choose to work with them. If you are wondering if I can help you, just ask me for a free intake. If you have another question for me send me an email or talk to me through the socials by leave a comment on my Blog, Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.

Dear People,

I haven't written much about the services I offer, so sometimes clients that find me through one of the services I offer are surprised what other things I do. For example clients that find me for Healings are surprised I also offer B2B Readings or that you can hire me for private events. You can find all my current services on my website, but I do receive a lot of clients by word of mouth, which usually highlights one service above the others. So this year I'm going to write some about my lesser known services. Today, I'm going to write about my coaching program!

Why do I offer a coaching program

I have spoken before about the differences between my work and coaching, so while I do call it a coaching program, I do use my gifts. My coaching program consists of Healing/Reading sessions, short Healing Boost, support by phone or email and spiritual exercises.

Clients sometimes ask to work on several things, have several area's in their lives they want to improve or have multiple goals. That makes it hard to choose a single focus for a True Unity Healing. Sometimes clients are looking for direction and healing, so then it's difficult to choose between doing a True Unity Healing or a Psychic Reading.

For those clients, I started a coaching program, so I can offer longer term support and create the best results.

When to choose the program

When we are discussing what you want during a free intake, it often becomes clear that the program is also a viable option. By choosing my coaching program, clients receive support for the next 3,6 or 12 months and a mix of sessions and spiritual exercises. To give you a better idea of what the program might look like let me give you several examples.

A client who wants to know more about their romantic life (Reading), but at the same time also knows they need to work on some old relationship baggage (Healing). During a set time we can schedule Healings when old wounds get triggered, but also Readings when potential dates turn into more (or not). They also receive support by email or phone, so they can ask me short questions or discuss their experiences.  This full package ensures they feel supported and get what they need during their journey towards a healthy happy romantic relationship.

A client is starting a business, but while doing so, they have questions about where to best spend their time and energy (Reading), but at the same time, meeting potential clients brings out some personal blockages around receiving, self value and confidence (Healing). By starting a business coaching program, they can get all the support they need and regular checkups help keep them accountable.

A client is on a journey towards living a more spiritually aware life. They have questions about where or what they are being guided towards (Reading), but also want help when they are being challenged to step up (Healing) or when old thought patterns cause trouble (Healing). The program also gives them spiritual exercises to help develop their own intuitive gifts.

A client has several things they want to work on: love, career and some family obligations. By taking the coaching program instead of sessions, they can adjust their sessions to focus on what is most important at that time. Sometimes that means they have a Healing and other times a Reading is a better fit. Spiritual exercises help balance their several goals over a longer period of time.

How do you book my coaching program?

I have a free intake with you where we discuss what your program would look like. Usually we first discuss if you want to have a short program (3 months) or would like longer support. We discuss what your preferred way to connect is (by email or by phone). Then we decide what type of mix of shorter or longer sessions would work best with other obligations and what the goals of the program would be.

All my coaching programs are tailored specifically to the needs and wants of my clients. That means you will receive a specific price quote based on what we discussed in your intake.

Benefits of my program

There are many benefits to working with the coaching program, but here are some I feel are the best:

  1. Reduced cost: since we can skip several intakes a program is almost always cheaper than booking sessions separately
  2. More accountability
  3. More support
  4. Specific personal spiritual exercises that you can reuse

Dear People,

Recently a new client asked if there was something that could be done to improve results before his session. A lot of my work focuses on improve results during the session and after the session, so today, let's talk about how you can use every step in the process to improve your results.

Before the intake

Usually people will send me an e-mail or call me to ask me about my services. Having a clear idea of what problem you want solved or what your goal is for a session really helps. You don't need to know why you have a certain problem or how to solve it, but if you can clearly define your problem or goal, it's easier for me to use my gifts to see what's needed. If you have trouble doing so, we can usually define it during the intake, but taking a bit of time to do so yourself definitely speeds up the process.

During the intake

During the intake we discuss what you want and what I have noticed in your energy field and other information I got from my gifts. Often people feel understood or get new information from me that already gets the energy flowing. Some people get more frustrated, while others get more at peace knowing help is around the corner. I've had multiple people tell me that they started to get results after the intake already!

Being able to answer questions and openly discussing your wants and needs really helps us find out if we can work well together and what is needed for you and your next level of healing. Intakes can be painful because we only discuss what's going wrong in your life, so make sure you are gentle with yourself.

Between the intake and the preparation phase

Sometimes our discussions from the intake have sparked some more insight in what you want or you might notice a few days later that you've forgotten to tell me something. Definitely take the time to send me a message to let me know.

Often people don't want to bother me, but if you tell me new information or want more things at the start of your session, it's much harder for me to incorporate it in the session itself. If I receive information before I prepare your session, I can make the time to listen to guidance or check blockages for you. So just let me know at least 24 hours before your session.

During the session

There are some things you can do to have the healing energy in the session as focused as possible. Ask for breaks if you need to sit down, need a drink or need the bathroom. Being uncomfortable during a healing session is counter productive.

Try to keep an open mind during the healing and just tune in as much as possible into what you feel or notice without letting your own judgements stop you. Trying is what is important, so if I notice you ignore your own inner voice, I will of course guide you towards the best healing flow. Don't get stuck in your own head, but just allow the flow to carry you.

Most of the time, during the session, all you need to do is just allow the healing energy to do it's work and follow my instructions. Sometimes clients are only willing to 'do this step' because I'm asking and while that still gives results (as I have your permission), it's more helpful if you are willing to help yourself and open up to miracles. So if it's possible for you to set aside your rational mind and just trust, have faith or allow yourself to receive this will definitely give better results.

Rarely people aren't willing to take a healing step and decide to start a discussion with me on why it won't work. Or they decide to dig in their heels and just tell me that it's useless. This is very human, but of course not the most effective way of healing. Sometimes I have time to convince people to at least just give it a try, but sometimes I will also notice that you aren't ready yet to heal on that level and it should be shelved for another time.

Directly after the session

Really take some time to yourself. You might feel energized from the healing energy, but you want it focused on you and not spread out towards other people, other goals or other problems. If you feel tired from the process, taking a break or a nap will help the energy to work on what's needed instead of trying to help you stay energized.

Aftercare: first 6 weeks after your session

While I have aftercare at 3 and 6 weeks, if you notice sudden negative experiences or a lack of healing flow, it helps if I know that as soon as possible. I can then check what happened and if this is something unrelated (family member gets ill), unconscious sabotage (you are afraid of the new level) or if the healing went to a different direction. Definitely get in touch with me if you feel like you aren't get the expected results that we discussed in your intake and that are in the email I sent you before your session.

It's much easier to redirect the healing flow or boost it while it's still available. The less flow is available, the more work it is for me to get it back up to were it needs to be and it will of course take longer to get results. Sometimes the aftercare just shows that we need to be more patient, because the energy is still flowing fine. In that case, we can add in an extra aftercare after the 6 week point to keep in touch and see how things are after a bit more time has passed.

I'm always disappointed if my aftercare emails go unanswered and people get back to me after the aftercare window has passed saying that they didn't get the results they hoped for. Aftercare is there to give you the best results, to be able to give tweaks when needed or give you some homework to get your results. It's true that the bulk of the healing happens in the session, but if aftercare was unnecessary I wouldn't offer it.

While I sympathize with people who didn't respond to my aftercare requests, I do not offer additional free work after the aftercare window has closed. Getting a healing flow running again is difficult work and the more time has passed the harder it is. If during earlier contact within the aftercare window we agreed to prolong the aftercare, that if course means you will receive more help free of charge.

Dear People,

Recently I got asked again if I could help find a missing item. It's not a service I offer, so it's not on the website, but since this sometimes come up and sadly, we all lose items, I decided to write about it today. I reckon we all lost things we care about for a little while or maybe even permanently and wouldn't it be nice to know where those items are?

How I find items most of the time

For me personally, if I can't find something, I first try to find things the usual way. I look around to see if I can find it. If that's unsuccessful I go through my memory and try to recreate the situation or the whole day to see where I would have put something. Often I find my keys dropped behind something or notice that I left them in a jacket pocket.

I once also found my husbands iPad by just going through the motions of how he thinks and behaves. It was in between the mattresses of our bed. He normally leaves it on the floor, but since he did some vacuum cleaning he decided to put it up. He was also going to change the sheets, so on top didn't make sense and he placed it in between. For him, me finding it, after he looked on his desks, in his bags and throughout the house was like magic. For me it made perfect sense.

Using my Psychic Gifts to find items for myself

So if I can't seem to find my item I usually try to use a pendulum. It can swing towards the item you are looking for and I can ask it yes/no questions to see where something is. However, it's very easy to influence your pendulum when you are anxious or upset, so using it to find items isn't always my forte.

I once lost my own pendulum after giving a Pendulum Workshop. So I then used my keys to try to find it. It kept saying it was in the hallway and specifically in my bag. I had looked everywhere in it (I thought) so I was so upset that I just couldn't find it. In the end I gave up on finding it and a sweet client gifted me with a new one later on.

A few months later I was using the exact same backpack and realized it had a small pocket in the front. A pocket I normally never use (as it's easily accessible for thieves). I opened that tiny pocket and found my pendulum! So yeah, my gifts had been telling me all along it was in that bag in the hallway, but I still hadn't found it!

Using my Psychic Gifts to find items for others

Once somebody asked the whole forum of Tarot Readers if they could help her find her camera. Everybody got different cards of course, because God will show you what you need to hear, in it's own voice for you. A lot of people hoped to see similarities in the answers, so that it would be easier to pinpoint the camera.

I don't remember what card I got exactly, but I told her I thought it was in her bathroom, seeing a shower and some other things and probably in a laundry basket if she had one. I could just see things on top of it, so it wasn't easily visible. It was definitely a super strange place for a camera to end up, especially because she feared it got lost either in her car or at another location. Imagine her surprise when she told me 1) I definitely described her bathroom and 2) she found it in between her clothing in her laundry basket!

The Tarot Readers felt I didn't exactly use the Tarot Card to find it though, especially as with my gifts it sounded more like remote viewing, finding something based on my impressions of somebodies home and not the keywords from cards. That's fair, because while I use the cards as a tool, my own gifts give more information then just the card.

A client once asked me if I could help her find a little box with jewelry that she had misplaced. She had looked everywhere but hadn't found it and was really desperate. It was lost for years and while she was always hoping it would turn up, she decided to ask if I could look for it. I used my gifts and got a few impressions that I sent to her. She was very happy to report that she found it based on my descriptions.

While I wish I only had success stories, I also have had impressions that weren't clear enough to solve the case, although the items were found afterwards. In hindsight it made sense based on my description, but in the moment it didn't give enough information to find it. I also noticed in some cases that items were really lost/outside the home and didn't get enough information to figure out where.

It's though to use my gifts to find items, especially since I often do it without ever setting foot in somebodies home. Since I can't guarantee a good success rate and it's very time intensive I chose not to offer any services like this professionally.

Do you have a funny story of finding items with your gifts or have a question you want to ask me for the blog? Don't hesitate to leave a comment, ask me in the practice, through DM on Instagram or Facebook or e-mail me.

Dear People,

Recently a client asked me what the differences are between a boost and a healing session. A smart question, because you can find the personal healing sessions under services on my website and sometimes different types of boost under events. So today I'm talking about the three main differences between them.

Difference 1: Personalized focus

One of the things that is clear to see that a healing session always has a personalized focus. We decide together what you want to work on during your intake. A boost has a focus I've chosen, based on what I feel global energy or month energy is showing me many people need. So a boost doesn't need an intake.

So if you want to make a decision based on a healing session vs a boost, the main question would be: does the focus work for you? If the focus I've chosen is one that you do want to work on or that does resonate as necessary for you, book a boost. If you feel you need something different ask for an intake for a healing session.

Difference 2: Solve a problem or reach a next level

When I have a healing session, often, there are things people want to let go or a problem they want to resolve. As such, mostly there is a clear issue that they want help with. Healing energy takes a much longer time to resolve blockages, due to humans not dealing too well with rapid changes.

With a boost, it's often not a problem that makes people feel that they want some extra help, but a new level that they want to reach. They see that they'd love to have some more growth in their lives and choose to have a growth boost. Results are usually fast and in the first 3 weeks.

If you feel you need more help to reach the next level, due to more blockages, definitely choose a healing session. If you have long standing chronic problems in the focus area, a boost isn't the right way to solve them.

Difference 3: Cost, time and opportunity

Since a boost doesn't need an intake and doesn't need after care at 6 weeks,  I can offer it for cheaper than a regular session. I also sometimes offer 25 minute sessions instead of 50 minute sessions, making it an even better deal if you are looking for a small lift upwards or could just use a bunch of positive energy.

Remember that I only offer boost for a set amount of time, so if you do resonate with the focus of the boost, it's best to book it. Once it's gone, it's gone and you will have to book a regular healing session to reach your next level. You will get more personalized care and deeper results, but if that isn't what you want, book your boost as soon as possible.

Have a question for me about my work, me or my techniques? Post a comment on the blog, Facebook Fan Page or talk to me in the practice.

Dear People,

Some of you might have seen me promote Stichting Opkikker already, which is a wonderful organization that surprises families with a chronically ill child with a wonderful day. They have chosen to focus on families, as not only the child, but also parents and siblings have a difficult time too.

So it was only logical that I got questions recently about my volunteer work. I usually don't advertise much with it, but this topic is very dear to my heart having been a very sick child, so I wanted the organization to get as much exposure as possible.

Why I volunteer
I prefer to make a positive impact on the world and so volunteer work/charity work is a natural way to do that for me. There are so many organizations and initiatives to support that do good work. Joining with them makes for a wonderful time and a good contribution.

I used to work personally as a volunteer, but now I prefer to volunteer through my company. I love my job, so doing it more often, for free or for a small(er) fee really makes me happy.

What organizations do I pick
Sometimes I get asked to volunteer or donate to a good cause and sometimes I contact an organization myself. There are many worthwhile causes and only so much time and energy in the day, so I have to pick and choose what I do.

Usually my criteria are:
  • The goal/cause of the organization is touches my heart. I need to feel like me and the organization are a match for me to donate time, energy or money.
  • I trust the people or the organization is CBF or ANBI certified. I prefer working with organizations that are crystal clear with their finances and are well run.
  • I can offer the organization something worthwhile due to my expertise
  • I can make the time, energy or monetary commitment that is needed

Can I ask you to come help me or my organization?
Sure, ask away. I love getting volunteer requests and am always on the lookout how I can help the world get better. If you ask me for things not related to my business (for example: helping setting up things, doing administration etc.) it's less likely I will accept your request.

Even if it is related to what I do with my gifts please understand that I might not be able to accommodate your request. As all human beings, I have limited resources so I have to make the choices that are right for me. Nobody can say yes to everything and that certainly doesn't mean I don't care about your organization or request.

If you don't have a request, but want to help me set up or support my volunteer effort, please contact me. If I have somebody willing to share the burden of setting up, driving and/or other tasks, that really helps me out and allows me to do more. Whenever I get a request that seems like a good fit I'd certainly discuss it with you and see if it's a good fit for the both of us.

Have a good organization that you want me to look at? Post a comment on the Blog, Facebook Fan Page, send me an e-mail or talk to me in the practice.

Dear People,

While I already wrote about what questions I won't answer but recently I was also asked twice about what type of clients aren't welcome in my practice. It's a difficult question to answer, because I would like to say everybody is welcome, but the truth is that this just isn't possible. It's fair to say that I have two groups of people who I don't tend to work with.

Group 1: People whose problems I can't solve/who are better off with somebody else
While I'd love to help everybody, the truth is that sometimes I don't see the results I want. I've never had 0 results, but sometimes the results aren't on the issue the client feels is most urgent. I often find that if we continue working there will be a shift in what is considered the 'main issue'. However, if it doesn't do this within a reasonable time frame, I will start looking at alternatives for my client.

For example: somebody might come with problems concerning weight and first will find more energy, better sleeping patterns and less snacking, but no direct results on their weight in the first few sessions.

It can also be that the problem goes away too slowly and I feel that a client is better served going to someone who works differently. I mainly work on the emotional/mental and spiritual side of issues and sometimes another approach gives faster results or might even be paid for by insurance.

Whenever I feel that you are not best served by my work, I feel it's my duty to tell you to at least try somewhere else. So even if clients insist that they want to stay I often ask them to take a break from sessions with me, explore another option or at least think about it and then think long and hard if they really want to continue. However, if you are satisfied and don't mind going slow(er) I will respect a clients choice, unless I truly feel that I'm doing them a disservice. I won't work against my own conscience.

Group 2: People who don't respect the rules of my practice/don't work well with me
I'm very transparent about how I like to work, what my rules and guidelines are and how I feel we will get the best results. Some people who come to my practice feel hopeless, don't think it's going to make a difference or have a 'wait and see'-approach. While that doesn't make for the easiest working relationships, I do understand where that attitude is coming from and am fine with it. Often, it starts to shift when results are coming in.

Sometimes however, this attitude doesn't change or even becomes combative. You are free to take my advice or not and to choose how you want to live your life, but don't choose something else and then come and complain that your life isn't moving like I said it would. For my own health and well being, I then have to let go of a client. I don't want to get stuck in power struggles about what is really changing in a clients life and what isn't and why.

Another problem are clients or potential clients who don't want to respect the rules of the practice. They want free consultations and will call between 7pm-8pm to ask me to answer their questions. That time I have set aside for making or changing appointments and discussing if I can help you and I usually don't have the peace and quiet necessarily to do Readings. I will of course also explain that I don't work for free. Still I have people who continue to try this. I once had to hang up on somebody who had tried this on at least 4 different occasions and just kept going on the last occasion by saying: "It was just a quick/small question". Even if it is, I don't have to work for free and I don't want to during this particular time in my evenings.

I also have people who are angry about having to pay for cancelling late or not cancelling at all. While I understand that it's hard to pay while you feel you have received 'nothing', I did do preparation work, kept your spot open and told you in advance this is how I work. If you don't agree with how I work, you are free to find somebody who works the way you want.

Still I have had clients who keep trying to persuade me to work in ways they want (no cancellation fees, working without feedback, not keeping appointments, wanting extra's, working for free etc.). Again, for both of our sakes it's better to discontinue working together as I thought long and hard on why I want to work this way and I don't feel inclined to change it. It's fine when clients ask if something is possible/if I can make an exception, but if you can't accept a no and keep on pushing boundaries, I'm not interested in keeping you as a client.

What's surprising for most people is that I don't ban clients who have mental problems, don't ban addicts etc. I always check on a case by case basis if I can help you and no group is banned in advance. While it can be more difficult to work with people struggling with these issues, I am always willing to try.

Have a question for me? Ask me in the practice, send me an e-mail or post a comment on the blog or Facebook Fan Page.
Dear people,

The other day I talked with a client on what had changed for me over the years and I thought that since the practice is now almost 7,5 years it would be a good idea to share my answers on the blog. Looking back a lot has changed for me and it would be nice to revisit this question in a few years.

Changes in me
Truthfully, when I started, I thought I'd just do it for 3 months, then start back on my studies. I never thought I'd still be working so many years later. As such, as I wasn't a very smart business woman when I started. I started with a fee that wasn't sustainable, didn't know squat about promotion or advertising and basically only had the legal and administrative part sorted out. Oh, and I had a lovely space rented of course.

Sessions were a lot harder on me in the beginning, because I worried a lot on if I was doing it right, was being professional enough etc. etc. It took a while for me to find my feet and to start trusting myself and my skills. I also had a rough time at first with all the different directions I wanted to take the practice in. I worried a lot about financials.

Now, I feel like I build a practice that is starting to sustain me, makes me feel happy every day and I feel happy that I have the opportunity to make my own guidelines and work in the way that's right for me. I feel so blessed when I see great results and feel that I'm a positive influence in people's lives.

Changes in my gift
The more I use my intuitive gifts, the stronger they became. That means that in the beginning I needed to focus a lot more then I do now. I often even get "shouted at" so my intuitive voice is a lot stronger overall. Recently a client who went to the Reading Evening told me that my face shows I know the answer before the pendulum finishes spinning. It's true that I personally don't use a pendulum that much anymore. I tend to get the information in several ways now, but only some have grown stronger. The predictive dreams that I used to have, have diminished a bit because I receive so much information when I'm awake now.

As for the healing gifts, they have grown very fast indeed. I noticed a lot more energy flowing through me through the years. Getting faster and better results and even results on the physical plane this year. I used to say that I worked mainly on the emotional, mental and spiritual planes and that the physical will then usually fall in line. The extra energy that is created when the other 3 are balanced help balance the third. However, lately, I've noted that the physical is healing as well, meaning I get faster results, which is lovely.

I'm expecting more growth in my gifts and are very curious about what the future will bring. It opens up more ways to heal people and to see what's really at the root.

Changes in the practice
When I started I had a lot of things that looked great in theory but were difficult in practice. I split up different prices for different techniques, but in sessions that meant I had to calculate how long I worked with each technique to give the correct price. It was quite a hassle. I'm very happy with my current pricing structure: it ranges from free to several hundred euros and is very fair.

I've officially added the services I already did on the website, so people don't have to ask me if I work with kids, do house cleansings or parties. While I offer a wide range of services, I think that in the future, I'll have to pick and choose a bit more. While I love doing workshops, the time invested isn't always right for me.

I'm planning to make some changes in 2016, which will be put in the newsletter first. I'm still brainstorming about some things, but if you have something to add, please do talk to me about it.

Have a question for me? Ask me in the practice, on the Blog or Facebook Fan Page or e-mail me!
Dear People,

Recently one of my clients asked me why I don't speak much about future events in sessions. Many people know the stereotype of the Psychic who tells you you will meet a dark tall stranger or have three kids by 35. If they question those predictions they are often told that they need to be open to it. There are quite a few reasons on why I don't work that way, but here are the most important ones.

Telling people the future is often not helpful
If I do see you married with three kids by 35, telling you that future is often not helpful. What are you going to do now that you are 25? Wait a few years? Sit in your hands? Keep your eye out for the person I described instead of living your life and experiencing it? Fearing that you miss out if you fall in love with somebody else?

I personally feel that the things I say in sessions should be helpful. It's important that you keep the agency in your own life, that you are in charge, deciding how to live your life. When you are in charge, you can listen at any time to everybody and decide on your own if you want to take their counsel and advice or not. If you aren't in charge or want to put me in charge, you feel dependent on my counsel or approval and that is a very unhealthy dynamic in my eyes.

Sometimes however, telling people about their future is helpful. Here are two examples:
  1. I've told somebody that I was certain that she'd have a child and it helped her in a difficult IVF journey, even though she had trouble believing me. In the darkest times when she thought that she was doing it all for nothing, she remembered what I said and it gave her some solace. She has a lovely child now.
  2. I told a client who was worried about finishing her studies that she'd not be working in them, as the field wasn't a right fit for her and she'd be working with older children/teenagers soon. She dismissed me as she had no qualifications for working with children, but when an opportunity arose a few months later, she remember my counsel. It reduced her anxiety about starting something completely new and she loved her new job.
There are more important things then talking about the future
While I can imagine we all would like to know about the beautiful highlight of our lives, I always prepare sessions asking what's most important keeping the clients highest good in mind. Often I'm asked to remove old blockages, discuss behavior and talk about what's important in their lives.

While I'd love to do everything in a session, I always have to make choices. Since I know that the future will change based upon how clients change during sessions, predictions about the future are usually done when we near the end of the healing stage. This ties back into what I wrote in the article: "Why do I need to heal first?"

What if I do want advice on my future?
I have no problem giving you advice on your future, as long as you keep the following in mind: I see the future, but the accuracy of the predictions isn't always the same. For me the future is like a river, which can flow in many different directions, based on your choices, but some things are like rocks, you will always meet them as they divert the flow of your river. The further away I look, the harder it is to see the flow, but I will always still see the rocks.

You can ask broad (what's going to happen in the next 2 months) or specific (what do you see happening in my relationship with X") questions. The more specific you get and the smaller the time frame (weeks instead of months) of the question chosen, the higher your chances of excellent results. If I get an unclear answer or no answer, I will always tell you.

So if you do want to advice on your future or work with me to make better choices, just request a Reading. Don't be surprised however, if your Reading shows you that you need to take care of other business first!

Dear People,

I have been asked if I believe in curses and if I do, if I can remove them. In Dutch culture many people don't believe in curse energy, but in most Asian cultures it's considered truth. For me personally, I often wonder, how can you believe in positive energy, but not in negative energy?
Life is balanced so both types of energy exist.

Negative energy & curses
Negative energy is energy that robs us of energy, life, joy and other positive energies and it will often knock us out of balance or into negative behavior. It can be felt when we do something that's wrong for us, when traumatic things happen to us, but also, when another person sends negative energy to us and we accept this energy.

Just like we send positive energy (well wishes, prayers, positive intention) out into the world, sometimes we send negative energy (angry thoughts, criticism, curses, negative intention). Most of the time we can be pretty careless and we won't send much or for a prolonged time, but sometimes we do (due to jealousy or wanting the other person to be punished). When we do send out negative energy it does take a lot out of us and most of the time, we do feel guilty  and we will attract more negativity into our own lives as well. If we go as far as trying to curse another person (consciously or subconsciously) we will notice negative aspects in our own lives as well. You can't be steeped in this kind of energy without it also harming yourself.

Reducing Negative energy
If you feel you are only focused on the negative or that you might have been experiencing negative energy sent to you,  you can do several things to place your focus back on the positive like for example:
My favorite way of placing my focus back where it belong is to ask simply to be shown the lesson.
I ask the following questions:
  1. Why am I feeling negative?
  2. Why is this happening in my life?
  3. What is my part in creating this experience?
  4. What do I need to learn?
  5. What do I need to move on and only take the lesson with me?
Removing curses
A curse is negative energy send to us with the intent to harm. However, I believe it's true that a part of us needs to accept the curse. When we don't, this negative energy is harmless. It's possible to heal your energy field and shield from new curses and to remove existing curses. So if you believe that you are being targeted or that you are in a pattern of bad luck indicative of a curse, it's time to clear your energy.

Once you do feel that curse energy is already at work, you can ask your guides, angels, God or the Universe to cleanse out this energy and to return you to balance. Remove all guilt, shame or other negative thoughts that can allow curse energy to work through you and start feeling grace. We all make mistakes, but we don't need to be punished for them. You can also do my True Unity Video: Release Curse energy.

If you feel that somebody is always sending out negativity (by making hurtful remarks or with other actions) and you can't remove yourself from the situation (boss, colleague or family members) you can do shielding exercises.

Whenever people feel that they are still not in the clear - I usually connect to their energy field and feel what's going on. Sometimes I feel active curse energy or a weak spot in the energy field, sometimes I feel that guilt or shame needs to be removed, but there is almost always something to be removed. Since curse energy is felt so easily, it usually means people take steps to remove it.

Have a question or want to share your story about feeling negative or curse energy? Talk to me in the practice or leave a message on my Blog, Facebook Fan Page or on Instagram.

Dear People,

Recently somebody asked me about her house cleansing as she saw and heard that a lot of people who do house cleansing use different techniques. She noticed that a lot of people advertise that they work with Sage, which is a wonderful cleansing agent, which is usually burned. So, today I'm talking about the different cleansing agents that I know.

Familiar cleansing tools
As far as I know, everybody who does house cleansing first of all uses intent as a powerful tool to make sure the house is energetically clean. Some people will speak affirmations, some people will pray and some people will have the silent intent as a focus in their minds. This helps remove negative energy quickly.

Then, if there are particular spots that keep feeling troublesome, I usually use my Psychic Gifts to see what type of energy is present and why it's there. Sometimes there are people who are deceased present, sometimes there are confused (or negative) entities and sometimes it's left over energy from traumatic events or disturbances that build up. Depending on what it's there I respectfully ask for help to move them on to the next phase, pass on messages, ask them to appear in different zones or in different ways or ask for help to cleanse the area.

When cleansing, if I want to achieve a clearer feel, I usually use water. I sprinkle it around, allowing it to magnify positivity and clean out what's there. If energy is unusually oppressive or if I feel it's needed I might use incense like sage or other types to cleanse the area or use my singing bowl. Sometimes I ask people to keep the window open for a bit to cleanse with air and to make sure the energy actually exits the house if it can't be easily removed.

Sometimes, after cleansing the feeling of the area has calmed, but doesn't feel sufficiently positive and nice so then I use light or candles for a softer and gentler vibe.

These are my experiences and my techniques and I'm sure other people use different techniques to cleanse and find out what works for them. Personally, I'm not always a fan of using incense, mostly because of the fact that some people are allergic, some people do not like the smell and some people don't want other roommates to know that they had a cleansing done.

Want to share your house cleansing technique ask me questions about my work? Just ask me in the practice, on the blog, Facebook Fan Page or by e-mail.

Dear People,

I have talked to a few people why I found it so important to write detox programs, but now I would like to share my thoughts on the blog. I often see people who have trouble keeping balance in their lives: it's too busy, too stressful and there isn't enough time for reflection. Sometimes people will try to detox only their body by getting a massage, by fasting or doing a physical detox. Very rarely people will invest in a mental and emotional detox. I truly believe that it's important to do so regularly to keep feeling well and happy in our lives. Especially after busy and stressful periods.

Mental Detox
You can always see when people need to do a mental detox. Look around you: if you see somebody that looks bogged down and taxed, that's who needs it. When you have a mental buildup you will feel filled worries and anxieties. Every little thing that goes wrong starts becoming a big thing. You don't have the mental capacity to anticipate problems or to be flexible when problems occur.

This is often when people tell me they just need a holiday. Sometimes the sun or snow, a time without responsibilities and doing whatever they want is enough to recharge your batteries. However, often I notice that right after a holiday people's plate is already full again. A few days after the holiday they are feeling bogged down again and so the cycle continues. If you aren't able to take time off or if extra problems occur like health issues or family problems people burn out.

The two detox programs I designed help by truly detoxing the mental toll you have accumulated. You will do exercises that bring true relaxation, but also exercises designed to look at what you are doing with your time and energy and if that's truly right for you. This way you can cut back on unhealthy habits, understand what works for you and have a happier healthier and lighter life!

Emotional Detox
Most people don't even recognize that they need an emotional detox. They will tell me that they had a heavy year or that it's hard for them to focus on positivity, but often think that they are to blame. When you give a lot of support to people in your live who are struggling and every time you meet personal challenges you deplete your emotional reserves.

Often people tell me that they didn't have time to process their feelings, didn't have time to support themselves, celebrate their successes or bring positivity in their lives. Some of them meditate, do yoga or try to find other ways to find balance, but if it's not done regularly or if the balance between you and others is skewed, it's not enough.

The two detox programs I designed help by truly detoxing the emotional toll you have accumulated. You will do exercises that bring true joy, but also exercises to process feelings, see who or what is bothering you and make choices that are more in line with what you need. This way you can balance your relationships, acknowledge your own wishes and goals and feel emotionally light and free.

Physical Detox
While you are emotionally and mentally detoxing it's no wonder that your body will also need time and attention in the form of more rest, more or less food and other types of care. Often emotional and mental burdens have gotten stuck in the physical as well.

Aside from this side benefit, you can choose how much you want to physically detox. I have recommendations on food intake, sleep patterns and other detox preparations, but in the end you decide what's right for you. If you are expecting a lot of release don't add in much physical detoxing.

Why two programs?
I wrote two programs, because I feel we have two different types of detox needs: a full overhaul and finding balance within the rhythm of our lives.

The full overhaul is the Intensive Weekend Detox, which helps you makes changes in your life, to stop what you are doing and reassess, to process your feelings, to move on and more forward. You won't have much time for your regular life, but after it you will be bursting from energy and find it easier to make choices.

Finding balance within the rhythm of your life is the Week Detox, which helps you look at different aspects of your life. Every day you will have a mix of exercises to bring a part of your life back into balance. You can pick and choose if you do all three or only one or two. Since you keep access to the programs, you can also choose to make it a three week detox (doing one exercise a day) or to repeat the detox every 2-3 months.

I truly believe detox is worthwhile to do regularly, so both programs allow you to repeat them as much or as little as you want. If you are interested in these programs, you can order them by sending me an email.

Ready to detox or have more questions? Write a message on the blog or Facebook Fan Page, send me an e-mail or talk to me in the practice.

Dear People,

A few days ago somebody asked me how I work with crystals. I had done a long distance session and added which crystals I had used to the report. So, today I'm describing how I work with crystals, both in the practice and for long distance sessions.

Crystals in the Practice
Sometimes when I do Healing Work I notice that my client can greatly benefit from a crystal. I often place these on or near the client. The crystal itself is regularly cleansed and recharged by me and will simply gently release the healing vibration needed.
Rarely people will feel the crystal as a burning sensation, most of the time clients either don't feel anything special or will notice a soft energy. Crystal work is mostly subtle.

It's also possible that when we are discussing home work or things you can do yourself that I offer clients certain types of crystals to hold and understand what those crystals can do for them. I also teach cleansing and recharging techniques when asked.

Crystals in Long distance work
In long distance work I first connect to the energy of the person I'm working on. I often then use my own body to direct the energy. In other words: if I want to work on that persons right knee I will place my hand upon my right knee. If I notice a certain crystal is useful, I can place them around me  or on me with the intention that they are working around the energy field of the person I'm working on.

I can also take the crystal directly in my hand and redirect it's energy towards the energy of the person I'm working on. I usually do this if a lot of directed energy is needed. For example when somebody has a specific problem like a blocked heart Chakra or a physical complaint.

Personal Crystal Use
For a long time I'd wear certain crystals to work with their vibrations. Usually this was goal oriented, as I'd be working on a certain issue for myself or wanted to achieve a certain goal. I don't regularly wear crystals anymore, but when I think I'd have a difficult day I certainly have some that I wear.

When I do healing work for myself or when I feel I need to detox I regularly use crystals. I have quite a bit of them at home that I work with. I mostly work with a beautiful piece of Quartz, but I own many more crystals. Charoite, Lapis Lazuli and Ruby are some of my favourite crystals to work with.

Want to talk about your crystals? Post a comment here on the Blog or on the Facebook Fan Page.
Dear People,

In communication we all use words as labels so we can communicate clearly. However sometimes people have different interpretations and it becomes quite messy. So, today I'm going to speak about the labels in Psychic Work in both English and Dutch.

Why are there so much different labels for Psychic and Healing work?
Personally, I think that any type of work that is very personal is going to have many different labels. In the field of psychology for example you have the labels psychologist and psychiatrist, but you have a multitude of therapies and modalities ranging from cognitive therapy, psychoanalytic therapy to talk therapy and many others. And besides those types, each therapist might specialize in different fields like for example grieve counseling, trauma counseling or life coaching.

You choose as a therapist which type of work you like to do and often start specializing in that, as well as which type of therapies and healing modalities work for you.

What are the most common labels in Psychic Work?
The most common labels are Medium (Medium) and Psychic (Helderziende/Paragnost) for Psychic Work. However, there are many more like clairvoyant or six-sensory consultant. In Dutch and English we even have words to separate how the Psychic work might be done like cleairaudience (helderhorend), clairvoyant (helderziend), clairsentience (heldervoelend) and claircognizance (helderwetend).

Usually Medium is specifically reserved for people who speak with departed people /Souls (overledenen), but some people use this term as a synonym for Psychic. In Dutch, often "Helderziende" is used as a catch-all term for Psychic, even though technically it means clairvoyant and would mean that the Psychic received their knowledge through vision. Paragnost is the official catch-all term but it's not used that much.

What are the most common labels in Healing Work?
There are so many different healing therapies that it's hard to name common labels. However, there are some catch-all terms like: Healer, which would encompass all types of Healing and Energy Therapist/Energetic Therapist (Energetisch Therapeut) which means a Healer who does some type of Energy Healing (ranging from Reiki, Quantum Touch or their own modality) or works on the Energetic Field. In English, Lightworker (Lichtwerker) is also sometimes used to specify somebody who does healing and spiritual work, but the term isn't used that much in Dutch.

Why did you choose to use Psychic Healer/Helderziende Heler?
While I have Medium abilities and have seen and conversed with departed souls I rarely offer this type of service. When we want to speak with our departed loved one's it's often early on when we just lost them, which isn't the best time for us or for them. If you want more information about my Mediumship click here.

For me the focus of my work is Healing. Often the Healing already begins when people contact me or walk into the practice, due to the high vibration of loving energy present. I work with several types of Healing therapies (Massage Therapy, EFT and Energy Therapy), so using the catch all term sounded right to me!

I do however know I work very differently from most Healers, as I use my Psychic Abilities to hone in on underlying problems, to give advice about past, present and future and I can feel where blockages lie. I often get told during sessions that it's like I know what clients are thinking. I don't mind-read, but I can feel resistance to change, blockages formed from trauma and other Psychic things in a clients Energy Field. Since I prepare sessions, clients often are relieved that they don't have to talk much about what's bothering them because they can just tell me I am right.

So, combining those two I chose Psychic Healer as my label, making sure people know I do have Psychic Gifts, but that Healing is my most important aim.

Dear People,

Some of you might have already seen on Facebook that I have designed my own Oracle Deck. I've had many ideas of Oracle Decks before, but since my artistic side usually shows itself through words, not pictures, I never completed a full project. This time however, I had an idea of a text only Oracle Deck in Chakra Colors.

As you can see, the back has the information of the practice on it and the front have 100 positive words in the following colors: dark red, red, orange, yellow, light blue, blue, light green, green, pink, light purple and purple. Most people will recognize the main Chakra colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple and probably wonder about the pink.

There is no clear consensus on what the main Chakra Colors are, as I've seen Crown Chakra range from gold, white to purple, and the Third Eye Chakra range from indigo, to light purple to blue. Also, a lot of people feel that besides those main 7, there is one between the Throat and Heart Chakra, sometimes called High Heart Chakra or Thymus Chakra that has to do with our service to others and ourselves. I find that Chakra to be very important in healing work as it's often out of balance.

100% Positivity Deck Guidelines
For me, I follow this convention with the Deck:
  • Root Chakra (dark red/light red)
  • Sacral Chakra (orange)
  • Solar Plexus Chakra (yellow)
  • Heart Chakra (dark green/light green)
  • Throat Chakra (dark blue/light blue)
  • Brow Chakra (light purple)
  • Crown Chakra (dark purple)
  • High Heart or Thymus Chakra (pink)

100% Positivity Deck Uses
So, why did I design this deck while there are hundreds of Oracle Decks out there? In my healing practice I often felt a lack in the niche of Decks only used for healing. When you read for advice or awareness, it's important to have a mix of positives and negatives, but when you want to do healing work, the negative cards often intrude. I also have had Decks that focus on positivity qualities or virtues but those don't connect to Chakra's.

For healing purposes, the 100% positivity Deck gives you the ability to draw cards and focus on those Chakra's and their qualities that need healing or balancing. It's easy to put a card in your pocket for the day, meditate or visualize with it or tune into the vibration of the quality that you need.

For gratitude work when you find it hard to focus on something to be grateful for, the 100% positivity Deck can help you find a quality for each and every day and for each person that you interact with.

Want to spread more kindness into the world? You can give Cards away or place them between library books or spread them in other ways to entice other people to do Random Acts of Kindness or to brighten their day.

Of course you can use the 100% Positivity Deck for longer Readings as well. You could do a full Chakra Spread, separating the cards by color and seeing what you need to balance the 8 Chakra's for healing and deeper understanding. You can use it to see what ties from which Chakra's you have to other people or what you need to cleanse out ties. In the coming weeks I will post sample Readings on the blog.

Buying the Deck
I have 2 versions of the 100% Positivity Deck, an English and a Dutch version. They are similar, but not completely the same due to the difference in languages. If you are interested in buying a set, please be aware that I have to have them printed, so it will take around 3 weeks for them to arrive.

You can buy the set with or without box. I've added in a credit card sized card for size comparison  purposes. The whole box is slightly bigger then the card, and the cards themselves can almost fit twice in a credit card format (height is just a little more), but they are less wide. They have a glossy finish and are easy to handle. Don't hesitate to ask me about them in the practice if you want to see them.

Price would be €20 for a full set (so 2 cent a card!) or €22,50 for a set with box. If you want a different back send me an e-mail to discuss prices and options.
Dear People,

The other day I received a phone call asking me if I also do work finding lost items. The short answer is "no", the long answer follows in this article.

My experiences using Psychic Means to find lost items for myself
Like every other person I sometimes lose my keys or other valuable items and like any other person I can get anxious about it. Anxiety doesn't help any type of Psychic work, because it clouds the connection. You can get unclear answers or even answers that make no sense or are inaccurate. I never do Psychic Work when I'm in an anxious state willingly, but when you really need to leave and you can't find your car keys anywhere, you'd be willing to try anything too.

I've used a pendulum to try to pin point where I left lost items in my house and have had mixed successes. Sometimes it would help me to quickly pinpoint the room and I could find the item fast. Sometimes I'd walk around the house with it swinging wildly, so interpreting results was impossible.

I have done Readings as well when an item was lost for a long while, but this also gave mixed results. Sometimes it would give me a clear idea where to look, sometimes it just made me second guess myself endlessly.

My experiences using Psychic Means to find lost items for others
While I was frequenting a Tarot Forum, often people would ask others to draw a Card for a lost item. Usually all the cards drawn (sometimes up to 20) were all different, because Readers interpret their Cards in slightly different ways. Advice on where the item would be located would vary wildly.

I almost never used Cards however to do find something for others, instead I would use Remote Viewing. Remote Viewing is a Psychic technique that focuses on trying to get a picture of a place or item. So I would try to focus on the lost item and then note my impressions. Often this would give good, but not always clear results on where the item was.

For example, I was once asked to find a photo camera and I described a room where I could see a low type of cabinet, plus what I thought was a bunch of items on top, with a mirror present. So I thought the camera was in the bathroom, under the laundry, where it was actually found. However, when searching for another item for the same person, I didn't get much impressions at all so couldn't pinpoint a specific room or place. Sometimes impressions are vague or didn't seem to be similar enough to pin point a location.

Conclusions
Since I work primarily with energy, items have less energy then people, so it's harder for  me to tune into them. Often, people are agitated when they lose something, so then I'm also stuck with a huge energy field near me which is transmitting information, while trying to find something else. It's like trying to focus on a candle light outside while the sun is shining.

Because of this, I've had much more success finding items when I wasn't near the person searching for them, so Remote Viewing works well for me, even when I don't know the house or the environment. Even then though, I can't promise the accuracy that I would want to offer this as a paid service. So, I won't use my abilities to find your items for you.

Dear People,

I often get questions regarding the e-mail Readings or One Question - One Answer service I provide. This blog post is going to answer some of these questions, but if you have more, don't hesitate to ask them.

How does ordering a Reading work?
I receive a request by e-mail, telephone or in the practice that you want to have a Reading. I then ask you if you have a specific question or theme for the Reading or if you want me to check what is important to know for you right now. After everything is agreed I send payment details (those are not on the website for security reasons). As soon as payment is confirmed I will do the Reading and send you a report including pictures by e-mail within 7 business days.

What is the difference between a question and a theme?
A theme is a broader look at what is going on and can give surprising insights, because often it answers the questions we didn't think to ask.

Some examples: suppose you are single and want a Reading on the theme Love. You can receive answers focusing on actions you can take, answers focusing on inner healing, answers focusing on who is near you that likes you but that you don't know about or answers focusing on healing the past. If you had asked the question: "What can I do to find love?", you would have received answers only focusing on the actions you could take.

Suppose you have a health issue and you want a Reading on the theme Health. You can receive answers focusing on actions you can take, answers focusing on the root cause for a specific health issue, answers focusing on outside help that is available, answers focusing on things that are negatively impacting your health and should be addressed. If you had asked the question: "What is causing this health issue?, you would have received answers only focusing on the cause of a specific health issue.

I generally advise: If you want to have a broader view or are afraid that you are missing something ask for a theme, if you want a specific answer to a specific question, ask a question.

How do I know what question to ask?
Usually people have good idea of what type of answer they want to receive. They might want to know if a certain opportunity is a good one or if a relationship can be saved or what the cause is for a specific illness. So, even if you have trouble formulating the question, tell me what type of answer you are looking for and I will help you find a question that most likely fits your answers.

What does an e-mail Reading consist of?
You will receive a PDF file containing a front cover stating the date and my contact info. The first page is an energy scan of the situation, theme or question you have asked me. This often talks about blockages that can be felt and most of the time gives some small advice. After that, the question or theme is written down and I will include the name of the Deck I've used plus a picture of your specific Cards followed by their interpretation. Usually the Reading is between 3-4 pages long.

What is the difference between an e-mail Reading and a Reading by phone or in person?
The advantages of having a Reading done by e-mail is that it's the cheapest option (for a smaller Reading) and that you don't have to schedule time to meet with me. You just go about your day and receive the Reading when it's done. Also, you can re-read the Reading whenever you want and often people tell me it has gained in insight upon reflection.

The disadvantages are that during a Reading by e-mail you can't ask additional questions or clarification. Sometimes answers spark multiple questions or aren't clear enough so then it's very helpful that you can talk to me. To mitigate this I always allow people to ask questions after a Reading concerning clarifying things I have written. If you want additional clarification or have additional questions, you will have to order a new Reading or a session.

Have some more questions about e-mail Readings? Don't hesitate to ask on the blog, Facebook Fan Page or by e-mail.

Dear People,

Many people have asked me if I was able to do House Cleansing, because our homes are very important to us and most people spend a lot of time in them. Your house needs to feel free, positive and clear. It's been on the website as a service on and off over the past couple of years. Even when it's not on the website, you can still inquire about it. Today I will explain how I do house cleansing and why it's sometimes necessary.

What do you do when you cleanse a house?
Before going I try to have a sense of what kind of energy is in the house and how it affects the people living in that house. I often ask people to stand in the rooms that they feel uncomfortable in so I can sense how it affects their energy. I then have a base to work with and make a cleansing plan.

Often this plan includes bringing crystals into your home, incense and other agents that I use to help cleanse the home. Depending on what type of energy is there, I will use the items that help me best.

After cleansing, I will discuss what type of energy was there and what you can do personally to keep the house fresh and clean. Sometimes people prefer to have these type of talks during the cleansing, so then they walk besides me which is fine as well.

Why is a House Cleansing necessary?
Life is life and sometimes energy that feels uncomfortable ends up in our homes where it needs to be released so we can feel happy. The most common energy types I sense are: visitor energy (family, old inhabitants, friends etc. that have passed), old traumatic energy from former or current inhabitants (fights, depression, anger etc.) and entity energy.

Most of the time, people are able to cleanse this energy themselves by cleaning the house, burning some incense or airing the house out. Sometimes however the energy is stubborn or there is a message that needs to be conveyed. If the house stays unclean, people will continue to feel unhappy, uncomfortable, sad or down and it can really drain the energy out of people. So that's when I come in to cleanse it. It's not always possible to keep a house 100% clean, but it's always possible to feel comfortable in your home.

How do I know if my house needs a cleansing?
Trust me, you will know. I never have a to suggest a cleansing, because people will have enough complaints to discuss it with me. Often people will have places in their homes where they feel incredibly uncomfortable, sense something in their homes that makes them afraid or upset or do anything not to be home.

If you are worried your home is not the positive place for you - you are often right.

Dear People,

Time to answer a few questions about one of my gifts that isn't talked about much. I don't really advertise that part of my services, but most people know somehow that I do this type of work. I do find it important, so here are some questions I have been asked. What am I talking about? Mediumship.

Can you reach people who are deceased?
I can never give a 100% guarantee that I will be able to connect to a specific person.
I am almost always willing to try. I am able to reach most people who are deceased.

Does the time of the passing matter?
Not for me, but I do notice the following: Most people who have recently died will try to make themselves known to their loved ones. During this time people can have dreams or feelings and most often report seeing butterflies, lights flickering or the TV turning itself on or off. Smelling scents they connect to the deceased or just feeling a presence.

After this period, it usually becomes much harder to reach your loved one for a time. During this time the deceased is usually going through some type of cleansing of the soul and often in this time stage people seek a Medium. If this cleanse is finished, it becomes easier again to contact somebody and they often have a milder and wiser view of life.

How do you know you connected to a specific individual?
Usually I feel how they have passed. Sometimes I get complete names of other family members or characteristics that people recognize. Often I can describe a complete picture of the deceased persons personality.

If I get names that don't make sense of pieces that I can't seem to connect, I usually do write those down in my reports and/or tell them to my clients. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to me, but it does make sense to my client. Sometimes it doesn't fall into place until later.

Once you have connected, what do you do?
I ask for any messages that they would like to give. Most of the time the messages are specific, to the point and in the 'voice' of the deceased. Sometimes those messages are universal (for example: parents being proud, brothers telling sisters not to worry so much), but often they are based on unfinished business (for example property that they want sold, specific advice on items) or sending on a personal message. After that, I ask the person who is with me if they want to ask any questions and relay any answers I get.

What if you can't connect?
I used to refund the money, but in time, I've chosen to warn people in advance what this type of sessions entails and let them take the risk if they want to. Only if I hear from my Guides that contact is very unlikely to come to pass, I won't book a session and would give a recommended period to wait.

Why do you think you can't connect?
We think that after somebody has passed, that they have 'nothing to do'. Most of the time, that's not true. Souls have to learn their lessons, release feelings and reconnect to their purpose. I can ask, but I can't force. Very rarely I'm not in optimum condition (flu etc.). If so, I won't do the session and will cancel in advance. For this type of session I need to be in optimum condition.

Why do you generally don't advertise these sessions?
Doing these types of sessions takes a lot of energy and they are often very emotional. Sometimes people come to me while they are still very much in the grieving process and other times the messages given are very personal. As such, this isn't a service where I'd have to strongly limit the amount of sessions I do. So it's not worth it to me to advertise them, except on Halloween.

During Halloween it's much easier to connect to the deceased, so that means I will spend a lot less energy compared to other times of the year. I often have people in tears from the Halloween Reading that they received.

Why would I book a Mediumship session or Halloween Reading?
Some clients have some unanswered questions or unfinished business and would like to still connect to their deceased loved one's. Others just want to hear the guidance clearly or ask questions. For some, it's part of honoring their loved one's to try to reconnect after death.

I have found that these Readings or sessions have brought great peace and joy to clients. It's a comfort to know that love transcends all.

Dear People,

Lately I haven't had time yet to write down the answers to some of the questions I have had, but this one is one I recently got asked again.

Is there a difference between long-distance work and seeing you in person?
For some people, coming to my practice is almost impossible, as I have clients all over the world, for others it's possible to choose to see me in person or have a long distance session.
Both methods have their advantages and drawbacks.

Please note: The quality of your session doesn't suffer regardless of which choice you make. Both methods give great results.

Many things in the session stay the same regardless of the method: I prepare what is most important to work on and write down any information I receive before your session starts (which is always long distance work for me), in the beginning of the session I discuss with you what you find important and ask how things have been going and at the end of the session we discuss how you are feeling now and how you want to continue.

That being said: yes, there is a difference between long distance work and seeing me in person.

A Session in person

It's often easier for me to read your energy, meaning I almost never need 'a moment' to check up on things. However, I get a bit more interference, because while receiving things you might talk to me at the same time. So I have to sort through 2 streams of information. It's easier to interact however, when I can also see your facial expressions, body language and other energy shifts and you can see mine.

Often, people comment on how nice my practice is and how it already relaxes them when they walk through the door. A healing environment will often have a calming and healing effect, even when I haven't done anything yet. I don't underestimate this effect as it's a healing balm for everyone.

It's also very nice to lie down and let me do the work while you concentrate on your healing. Usually this means clients are more aware of the energy shifts that occur and feel more in tune with what is happening.

Of course, you do need some traveling time to come and see me and I don't offer 25 minute sessions in person.

Conclusion:
+ Easier interaction
+ Healing environment
+ Able to lie down and concentrate on the healing
- Traveling time for the client and possible parking costs
- Not possible to book a 25 minute session

A long distance session

A long distance session can be unavoidable due to distance, but it can also be an excellent way to save time. If you have a clear view of what you want a Chakra Healing or Energy Scan (includes a report) or Psychic Reading by E-mail means that you don't even have to set time apart for a session! Before the agreed upon deadline you will find your report or reading in your inbox! And when in need of a quick session to just answer a (few) short questions or an Energy Boost, just make an appointment for a 25 minute session.

A lot of my long distance clients take the time to write down what I am saying or record the session. In person, it's often more difficult to do so, because during a conversation a lot is said. During a phone call there are often natural pauses that allow for writing or you can have your own equipment to record your session with me. Or if you have chosen an E-mail session, you have the written report to read as often as you want.

One of the drawbacks is that sometimes technology fails. You might be unable to call me due to reception on your phone or your internet connection fails. Of course I try to accommodate by having several ways in which you can reach me: land line, mobile phone, MSN, Gmail Chat, FaceTime and Skype. Sometimes however, it's necessary to reschedule.

The feel of a long distance session is a bit different too. I can't touch your body or the energy field above your body directly. You don't see my body language and/or facial expressions. For some this offers a layer of privacy and concentration, but for others it's a disappointment.

Conclusion:
+ No traveling time
+ Easier recording a live session/Receive a written report
+ 25 minute session
+ E-mail Reports
- Technological problems (Phone/Internet-connection)
- Less interaction
