Dear People,
Life can be busy and frustrating and it's often very simple to complain and focus on the negative. So, for today I thought I'd discuss blessing your day. It means accepting what comes to you that day, taking the good and releasing the bad. If you do it now and again you will start seeing a lot more smiles, including your own.
Reasons for blessing your day
Well, why not? Why not share blessings with yourself and others? Why not create smiles, positivity and joy? It's hard to do it every day, because we are human. We like to complain now and again. It's easier to keep the focus on ourselves instead of on others, even though we are all connected.
Blessing your day is a sure fire way to get out of your funk and to start energy flowing again. It's a great way to rebalance and refocus and a great gift to yourself and others.
Blessing your day exercise:
The Do's:
- Gratitude, be grateful for everything that is there today. For your bed, for your breakfast, for the people you meet, for the things you are able to do... etc.
- Kindness, be kind to yourself and others. Smile to yourself in the mirror while brushing your teeth, smile at others in the street or in traffic and to your co-workers
- "Small" Acts of Service, help others out with tasks or ask if they need a hand. It might feel small for you but it might make a difference in somebodies life.
- Bless everybody, consciously give out the intention that you wish good to happen (don't forget to include yourself).
- Bless all situations, even those you find difficult or annoying
- Don't complain, if you hear yourself speak negatively change the subject while silently blessing the mess.
- Don't worry. If you start getting anxious, bless the situation and let it resolve
